A well-presented, professional pastry shop with very interesting products. I had two pasticciotti (€1.80 each): pistachio and chocolate. - The pistachio was disappointing. It has a spreadable icing on the surface, but the cream inside doesn't taste like pistachio. I assume it's the traditional cream with a hint of pistachio. Close your eyes and you wouldn't be able to tell it's pistachio inside. The shortcrust pastry, however, was very good. - The chocolate was very good. A hint of salt in the shortcrust pastry contrasted nicely with the sweetness. The chocolate cream inside had a pudding-like consistency, but it tasted good. Let's just say I could have done without the pistachio one.

The best desserts in town. It's a family tradition to go to Capilungo to sweeten the day. This is our most important dessert, one we look forward to all year long when we travel from Germany to Italy.

I tried the Luca Capilungo pastry shop for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. Although I visit Lecce frequently, I had never visited the pastry shop, which has a very extensive pastry counter. I stopped by the rotisserie counter since it was lunchtime, and I must say that the rustici and fried calzone were exceptional. Of course, I finished with a pasticciotto with sublime black cherry, excellent custard, and perfect shortcrust pastry.

12/11/2025: Excellent meat. Very friendly service. We arrived without a table and they did their best to find us one. In the end, we enjoyed a delicious, high-quality burger at a high table outside. Definitely recommended. Thanks, guys!
03/11/2025: As soon as it arrived, the smell of the grill made me realize I was about to eat something special. The burger was simply spectacular: soft but lightly toasted bread, juicy and perfectly cooked meat, with that touch of smoky flavor that makes all the difference. The sauces were balanced, not overpowering the ingredients but enhancing them, and every bite was an explosion of flavor. Even the crispy, golden fries completed the experience impeccably. You can taste the attention to detail and the passion of those who prepare it: nothing is left to chance. A burger this good makes you want to come back the next day... and maybe even the same day! 🍔🔥

22/09/2025: Service was quite cold might have been because we didn’t speak much Italian but we were trying servers seemed quite frustrated with us but we tried. We ordered a few dishes the stars were the baked mussels 10/10! And the Irish beef with Bree and potatoes was excellent the cook on the steak was perfect and we enjoyed both dishes thoroughly. We also had the lobster pasta dish which was good but the lobster wasn’t cracked and didn’t provide any utensils to get into the legs and claws so was quite difficult to eat.
06/09/2025: We had a lovely girl’s night dinner here, so here is a breakdown of how it went: We were greeted promptly and seated at a table in their whimsical garden. There is an extensive wine list, we opted for a sparkling rosé which was just perfect for a warm evening. For starters we shared the octopus alla Luciana - it was cooked to perfection : Tender, flavourful, and crispy in the right places. The chef is very creative with her flavours but it’s not overpowering at all. We also shared the cozze gratinate: very interesting twist on the classic, using smoked provolone cheese. Delicious ! I had the calamarata with swordfish and tuna, basil, tomatoes and pangrattato - now I’m not sure what these comments saying the fish isn’t fresh come from - the fish was VERY fresh, and I live here so I know the difference. The pasta was perfectly cooked, 10/10. My girlfriends had the lamb, which was very good and served with cherries, and the Ombrina fish in limoncello butter sauce - divine. I know it sounds weird but the flavours are delicate and very well balanced. We didn’t get dessert because we met up with other friends after, but were offered some shortbread cookies on the house. Thank you to the staff for this unforgettable experience ! I will be back.
