Had a lovely time at The Breakers. The towels were excellent, Valet was prompt and the turn down service was done beautifully (the pillow chocolates are divine!) The only negative thing I have to say is that 99% of the Breakers guests are Caucasian, and the only people of color are staff. (Not front desk staff, not the face of the establishment. Only valet or cleaning staff) So, when you’re a person of color at The Breakers, you do almost feel like you don’t belong, and the stares and glares from guests rubs you the wrong kind of way. Other than that we had a lovely time enjoying the sunshine, and seeing the Hero Dog Awards.

I always love going to The Breakers in Palm Beach. The hotel itself is gorgeous, and the staff is always warm and inviting. They always have a plush bed + giant bone waiting my pup too. I hope to be back sooner than later!

For over a century, The Breakers has been the epitome of Palm Beach, a symbol of wealth and a proverbial modern-day Versailles on the beach. The Breakers today is a museum where one can walk through its cavernous hallways, peek into ballrooms that once held lavish parties, now the occasional wedding for brides who still believe in its former glory. In twenty years, the town of Palm Beach will buy the property or The Flagler Corporation will finally sell to The Marriott's so that the common American family can do more than just stop in for lunch at The Seafood Bar. The Breakers had an impressive run, but the golden age has long since passed, foreign heads of state and the tycoons of today now stay at The Ben in West Palm and merely shuttle across the bridge to attend their meetings and conferences at The Breakers, while being the envy of those not so lucky. For those still reading, save your money by staying elsewhere, but do drop in for lunch at The Seafood Bar.

Usually when I stop by The Breakers, it’s to embrace the beautiful atmosphere and grab food. I just wanted to take a moment to express how beautiful and prestigious this hotel is. Their breakfast, lunch, and dinner are superb. I usually spend every birthday here with my brother, and my personal favorite dish is their clam chowder.

This hotel is one of the most gorgeous, classy stays I have ever experienced. All around amazing experience at the pool, beach, bar and restaurants. Great foe meeting business clients and romantic getaways.

The cost-to-quality ratio has declined significantly post-COVID. I’ve visited the Breakers with some frequency over the years and it’s traditionally impressed me as (arguably) the most beautiful hotel in Florida. In my mind, it retains that position, but the quality of the meals and venues has noticeably declined. Take, for example, breakfast at the Circle. All the caviar and crab you could like, but not particularly good—that is to say, you will be impressed by quantity not quality. It’s nice to have a harpist float around the dining room—but not at the expense of the dining itself. A disappointment at several hundred dollars a head. The Breakers is unquestionably a gilded experience. Always has been. Of late, the “substance” beneath the gilding seems lacking. Hopefully, it returns to normal eventually.
