We came for dinner. The staff was very kind and attentive, especially the ladies! The food could be improved. The first courses were plentiful but lacking in flavor. The vegetarian appetizer was a bit dull; the cod was just two small pieces.

We were looking for a new place to have lunch in Livorno while still maintaining the local flavor and spirit, and we almost certainly went to Osteria Red, which lived up to our expectations. Generous and delicious portions from a well-defined and unconventional menu, we enjoyed everything from appetizers to dessert. The service was sometimes slow, but never failed us with attentiveness and kindness, and the location was informal yet welcoming. The time flew by, and we woke up more than satisfied. 💪

An old-fashioned Livorno osteria with a rustic, casual atmosphere. In addition to the menu, there are several very inviting off-menu options featuring seasonal ingredients. Homemade cuisine, friendly, and fast service.
The atmosphere is very simple, ideal for an evening with friends and family. When it's full, it can get quite noisy due to the small-to-medium size of the room. It's a truly lively place where you can eat well and at prices I consider fair.
House wine or one or two of each type, beer. Homemade desserts, especially the panna cotta. The cuisine is straightforward, without frills or frills. Portions are adequate or generous.

We were looking for a place for a quick dinner and found a truly excellent osteria!
The staff is very friendly, and there's a level of customer service that's not always expected.
The portions are generous, the quality of the food is excellent, and the prices are very fair.
If you're in the area, it's definitely worth a try! :)
