OSTERIA RARO In Pomigliano d'arco

The first piece of advice I can give is to go right away. Don't waste your time. The first glance as soon as you enter will put you in a good mood, with a British-style bar with rum, gin, and whisky prominently displayed. But it doesn't end there; beyond the beautiful appearance, there's great expertise in the food service. Top-notch dishes to suit your taste, all of them of the highest quality. I recommend going for lunch so you can spend time with the owner, who is an excellent speaker and will explain a lot about his passion and business.

Impeccable in service, courtesy, and professionalism, this place offers high-quality products. Wine lovers will find a wide and spectacular selection, all framed by a refined and visually striking atmosphere.

Excellent osteria. We enjoyed the various courses we ordered, from appetizers like the cheese platter, to the cold cuts, tacos with Fassona beef tartare, and Montoro onion frittata. The porcini mushroom parmigiana was sold out, and we weren't able to try it. For the first course, the tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms and pork, and with black truffle, were excellent. For the second course, the Polish Kobieta heifer steak was excellent. The wine list is excellent, with a wide selection; we ordered a delicious 2009 Aglianico del Taburno. For dessert, the deconstructed pastiera was excellent. Friendly staff and good service. I recommend it and will definitely return. The dining room is quite spacious, with a covered outdoor terrace; I would have preferred an indoor dining area. Gluten-free options guaranteed.

I went to eat at Osteria Raro on Saturday evening. I thoroughly enjoyed everything I ate; you can tell the ingredients used are top-quality. The service was excellent; the young man who served us was truly kind and polite. Also worthy of note was his prompt explanation of everything on our plates. I tried the crudo di carne as an appetizer and was truly impressed by the quality and flavors on the plate; calling it an "appetizer" would be a bit of an understatement. Afterward, I tried their famous Genovese, and I have to say, it's worth the trip just to try it. The only thing that turned me off was the somewhat isolated location, where there's literally nothing else around besides the osteria.
