Di passaggio da Cava dei Tirreni ci fermiamo "Da nonna Maria". Cucina romana semplice e squisita. Personale simpatico e presente. Conto onestissimo!

A very characteristic place, unique in its kind of Roman cuisine in Salerno, warm and welcoming, with fast and friendly staff. The starters are excellent, I recommend the chicory and the cold cuts plate. The carbonara is good and really similar to the one eaten in Rome, but I recommend paying the small extra price to have more bacon. The porchetta is really tasty and crunchy on the outside. The artichokes alla giudia are absolutely worth trying, this dish is also very similar to the one eaten in Rome. The desserts are also good. The prices are good, considering that the Salerno average is very high, compared to the quality they offer. I don't give 5 stars for the environment, despite it being a very nice rustic house, only for a slight background noise, probably due to the crowding and height of the rooms. We will return with pleasure.

We have been here for a year and the food and service is still perfect. during our stay we visited the restaurant several times and tasted almost everything, it was really great. Recommended by our host, the cantina does not disappoint! Best pasta alla matriciana we ate in Italy! Carbonara (photo) also very delicious. Lip-licking tiramisu! We got some fried starters and they were also approved. We recommend!!!

Service and atmosphere was good, but my Carbonara was way too liquid, not much flavour and to top this off the only restaurant in Salerno i had experienced a cover charge of €10 for 2 people 🤔.
