Very good food, "just right" portions, friendly waitress

We were served a nice platter of cured meats and cheeses, along with a tasty first and second course. Prices were average. We were served by a friendly young woman, but it felt like she wasn't a professional. The place has good potential, but it feels like it's lost its identity, attempting to achieve more sophisticated cuisine in a rustic setting. In my opinion, they should focus on showcasing local dishes, without straying too far from the traditional trattoria formula. And then they should work on the hospitality, which needs improvement.

We ordered a platter of mixed game cured meats, which were very good, but lacked any accompaniments. The bread was a bit meager, though. The game ravioli and venison stew with polenta were good, but we had to wait a long time. The price was a bit high.

Balanced Trentino cuisine, great value, and a pleasant surprise in Levico Terme! We ate at this centrally located restaurant several times during our spa stay, but it's a shame we only discovered it on the last few days of our vacation.

Found by chance, it was a pleasant discovery. Traditional Trentino dishes, including delicious dumplings, salted meat, and a superb goulash. The staff is very friendly, and the place is very informal. I recommend it.

La Cantinota is located above the crowded Pizzeria Fontana, and because of this and the limited outdoor seating, it's easily overlooked. Inside, there's a cozy vaulted cellar; beware, there's no cell reception. The menu offers many game dishes, even in summer. We had pasta with wild boar, buttery soft, lightly tomatoed, and delicious. The ravioli with venison were even more seasoned; my highlight was the venison carpaccio with smoked cheese, a poem, especially with its light smoky note. The main course, venison with polenta, was also impressive. Accompanied by a fruity, slightly chilled, yet aromatic red house wine—perhaps a Marzemino? The service is very friendly, sometimes a bit overwhelmed, but all the more pleasant for that. For us, La Cantinota is definitely a recommendation for game lovers; it has a great selection and reasonable prices for both quality and quantity. We'd be happy to return. Dishes like braised octopus or pasta filled with scallops also pique our interest.

Just steps from the church in Levico Terme, you can dine at La Cantinota restaurant. The dishes are well-prepared and very tasty; the portions are also perfect. The atmosphere is welcoming and clean, yet not overly spacious, making it ideal for families and couples. The polenta, mushroom, melted cheese, and lucanica dish deserve special mention, especially since the latter alone is enough to make it a must-try. The prices are more than fair: €70.00 for two for an appetizer, two main courses, dessert, water, a Coke, and two coffees. The only downside was the somewhat long wait for the appetizer (a good 15 minutes, despite the restaurant not being full).

Late night dinner… we where the last guests arriving and still the staff did everything to give us the best experience. Good grilled vegetables, delicious pasta speck and excellent steak. 🥩
