First of all, the food was very good.
The most disappointing thing, however, was that the pictures of the outside area don't represent the restaurant. There simply isn't an outside area. So we sat in an authentic ambiance. It was very, very loud, though. The service was very friendly and attentive. The food was excellent, as expected, but the potatoes were very dry. Unfortunately, the Fiorentina wasn't weighed in advance, which was obvious to us. Instead, a total price was simply presented on a piece of paper at the end, which was apparently a bit high, as we weren't told the price of the alternative bottle of wine or the price of the steak.

The place is not very easy to reach with very few parking possibilities.
The atmosphere is that of a small and familiar tavern. Gigino, the owner, is welcoming and friendly towards the guests. The meat dishes are qualitatively good but not excellent. What personally lowers the evaluation is the decidedly too high price of some dishes, in particular a plate of fried mushrooms (which tastes like fried food but not like mushrooms) €25! I think it is excessive. Overall good but prices higher than average and for the same quality.

Osteria Gigino is a somewhat crowded place (we are in Genoa 🏴..), dalla Castagna, a very hospitable environment, and the must is the meat, the Florentine steaks, obviously the price is based on the quality, very high, of the products... but there are also other menus for various needs... the prices are proportionate to the offer, very satisfying, the staff is very competent and helpful, it deserves a second visit, and, for those who like meat, it's in their own.

Welcoming environment with a homely atmosphere, which immediately puts you at ease. The location is not particularly elegant, but conveys a sense of authentic and familiar simplicity. The level of cuisine is high: both the tasting menu and the cuts of meat are carefully prepared and tasty. Absolutely try the mega burger, really good. The meat is of excellent quality and the wine selection well thought out. The prices of the cuts are a little above average, but justified by the quality of the raw materials.
