The atmosphere is steeped in tradition and conviviality. Excellent cuisine and excellent service. If we really wanted to make a small criticism, we'd say the room layout could be improved, as it's a bit cramped, but that's just a minor detail.

A small, great bastion of authentic Genoese cuisine. The new management has relaunched the historic restaurant in the spirit of true Genoese tradition. Here you can enjoy farinata as God intended. Cooked in a wood-fired oven. Thin and crispy to perfection. When I see tourists queuing up to eat farinata that bears no resemblance to the real thing, I feel sick. What do they think of this extraordinary dish?! At this restaurant, you'll find all the traditional Genoese dishes prepared with excellent ingredients and at a fair price. The service is courteous and helpful. A little off the beaten tourist track. But for us Genoese, that's a blessing 😊

I've learned to appreciate Genoese cuisine, which has a distinctive and authentic flavor. It's excellent for my business lunches, with a wide selection and seasonal menus that always feature excellent delicacies like farinata, panissa, and cuculli. A regular stop when I'm in Genoa.

We enter, say hello, no one notices us, so we head towards the inner room, when a very annoyed female voice with the tone of a SS general tells us, "ONLY the tables in the entrance hall and ONLY what's in the display case!" without a hello, good morning, or ciao, before turning away and not paying us any attention again. Maybe it's because I've lived in Spain for years, and I'm no longer accustomed to the typical Ligurian welcome, but we took it and "laughing" we left, remembering the pirates of the alleys, and went to a restaurant in a nearby alley, where we were welcomed kindly, as a public place should normally be! It's a shame because I remember the food was very good, but not good enough to justify the rudeness.

We're back, and the quality is always excellent. We had one of the best farinatas ever: thin, crispy, and just the right amount of salty. You'll find many Genoese specialties, and the service is quick! Excellent cheese focaccia, cod-infused artichokes, and an excellent cream caramel. Congratulations!

An ancient slice of Genoa landed on that site...an archaic history mentioned in many books about our city, a family welcome, a simple, warm, sweet room, excellent food that rediscovers ancient Genoese dishes, which have continued over time, affordable prices...I recommend it and more...try everything they make out of the ancient wood-fired oven, special farinata.....

Ostaja San Vincenzo in Genoa. Upon entering, you might think it's a small gathering place for a few people, and sometimes, seeing all the seats taken might tempt interested visitors to move on. Instead, we asked if there was room and discovered that, in the back, there's a lovely space with room for at least 30 people. The dishes are prepared with a homely flair, and the result is truly appetizing. I especially loved the Trenette al Pesto. A warm, simple place to relax and eat well. A lovely discovery in Genoa, which I've never visited enough in recent years. Friendly staff and affordable prices. Four stars, fully deserved. And so I'm back on the road, always in search of the culinary excellence of our beautiful country. See you soon, my dear readers.
