It is one of the most famous squares in the city and it exudes like a park, given the numerous green flowerbeds. Being bordered on one side by the gardens of Giuseppe Verdi, you can see the opposite side of the same where the Brignole railway station is located, of which it seems to be the natural contiguous space that continues towards the low rise of the Galliera Hospital and the sea. On this part of the grassy surface, three caravels are traced in the greenery and with flowers.
The symbol and symmetrical center is the Arch of Victory, a monument to the fallen of the First World War. The consulates of Peru, the United Kingdom, the INPS Palace and the National Hydrocarbons Agency overlook it.
The square, given the vast space available, has hosted highly interesting Eucharistic celebrations, concerts and events.
Dating back to the Thirties, it boasts an underground car park since the Nineties. Traces of human activity in this area from the 4th - 5th century BC were found.

A very large monumental square near Brignole station.
Dominated by the great Arco della Vittoria, built in honor of those who fell in World War I.
Surrounding it are gardens, public buildings, and pedestrian areas.

You enter the expansive Victory Square – Piazza della Vittoria – and immediately sense that this space aspires to be more than just an urban playground. Conceived in 1914 on the site of a marshy meadow and featuring the triumphal arch of 1931, it discreetly recalls the First World War, but without a wagging finger. The surrounding facades balance Art Deco and Neoclassical so skillfully that you almost forget you're in the modern era. You linger, sense its quiet grandeur – and think: "Aha, a square that buys itself for a discerning observer."

Very beautiful view of the city of Genoa, a must do, but be careful, you have to earn the view because there are no steps and it is not easily accessible for people with reduced mobility. I recommend it.

It is the place where they mainly organize popular festivals where you can see and taste street foods from European and non-European regions and states. It is normally used as paid parking.
