I forgot: Oscar-winning octopus linguine alla puttanesca.
What a spectacle ❤️
12/10/2025: We arrived at Ristorante Di Giorgio almost by chance, looking for a quiet place to spend our last hour in Capri before catching the boat. The place was completely empty, but the setting was pleasant and the initial service was decent. It was quite windy that afternoon, so we decided to stay a while and order something light: two pizzas.
The menu prices are reasonable for the area—especially considering the view and location—although they charge €4 per cover, which is important to keep in mind. The pizzas had good flavor, thin crust, and were cooked properly—not spectacular, but adequate.
What was awkward was the ending: when we got up, the waiter quickly came over to ask if we had left a tip and lifted the napkins to check the table. It was a very awkward gesture, especially since, with a €4 cover charge per person, we assumed the service was included.
Despite that detail, I wouldn't say it was a bad experience. The place is quiet, with reasonable prices and good food, but the insistence on tips took away from what could have been a much more enjoyable moment.
💡 Helpful Tips:
Check the cover charge before ordering; it's already included in the bill.
If you're going for a quick pizza, this is a convenient option near the center.
The service is decent, but be prepared for possible awkward gestures if you don't leave an additional tip.
🍽️ Summary:
✅ Quiet place and good location.
✅ Tasty pizzas and reasonable prices.
❌ High cover charge.
❌ Awkward attitude from the staff at the end.
