Wide selection. Low price. Croissants on par with those at the local pastry shop, NOT like the frozen ones at nearby cafes. A few steps from the station. Open early in the morning.

Visit date: September 17, 2025. Cappuccino and croissant at the table. While I was eating, they brought me a receipt (maybe because I'm dark-haired and don't look Italian?) hmmm. And other tables that were eating didn't get receipts! hmmm!.....

I had good coffee. It's a small place in the center of Salerno. Clean and welcoming. The girl was polite and kind. I recommend it.

If you want to stop along the main street, you've found the right place for a break. Excellent, fast, and friendly service. They sell some very special sfogliatelle. Definitely worth a try.

A very small but cozy place. The staff is helpful. Good coffee and a nice selection of pastries. You can have breakfast or an aperitif outside. It's definitely a good place to stop during a stroll along Salerno's main street.

Agriturismo San Basilio

22/06/2025: A day of total relaxation. Often when you get to know places through social media you risk having too many expectations compared to reality. In this case the belief that we would have found a beautiful, clean place where you can eat well (km 0 products!) was fully confirmed. I do not give 5 stars because there is always room for improvement. For example, I recommend a fence that delimits the parking area given the risk of falling in front of the raised area. The rooms were not evaluated as we did not stay overnight. Highly recommended!!!
28/05/2025: The hilltop location with sea view is truly splendid; the family and friendly welcome; the food... well, the meals are prepared with all the products from the garden and the farm and cooked really well by the owner, who really pampers her guests. The 4 stars for the rooms are just an incentive to fix some small, but really small, defects: a shower siphon that doesn't drain very well or the window that opens with difficulty. All things that can really be solved and that don't take anything away from the comfort of the rooms and the beauty of the structure... just small flaws that, if eliminated, would make the San Basilio even more splendid. I won't add photos because those you see on the site correspond to reality: very beautiful structure with greenery and lush plants... the scent of flowers and a breathtaking view

Nello Pasta e Pizza

11/09/2025: We (a married couple) were there several times seven years ago. A quaint restaurant in the front area. The back area is somewhat reminiscent of a campsite restaurant. The waiter (presumably the owner) is the same as back then. He seems a bit edgy, but he can also smile sometimes. I had pasta Bolognese and a salata mista, and my wife had stuffed ravioli and stuffed zucchini blossom. We drank beer. Everything was delicious. We will be back.
12/08/2025: Stuffed anchovies, fried cod with chickpea sauce, and spaghetti with clams: everything was delicious, the fried food was not greasy and delicate. Next time I'll try other dishes. I recommend it.
