For us, it was a reaffirmation. My partner and I returned here after two years. We tried different pizzas and re-ordered some we'd already tried. The fact that they give you the option of getting half a pizza is fantastic, in my opinion.

Extraordinary gourmet pizza, out of the ordinary. Light and fragrant dough, quality ingredients, and top-notch pairings. I recommend the tasting menu to try as many dishes as possible; the Sauris is a cut above everything else, if possible... Prices are above average, but I guarantee you get what you pay for. Mater isn't your average pizzeria; it's a place where enjoying pizza is a heavenly experience. Amalia, the owner, is the undisputed queen of Mater; every bite of her gourmet pizzas leaves you speechless. I loved the taste, the digestibility, and the absolutely superb combination of ingredients. A special mention goes to the staff, Sebastian, who guided us and gave us excellent advice, and last but not least, Mater's strictly homemade desserts are truly a delight. I've been wanting to try Pizza Mater for a while, and I finally discovered this exceptional pizzeria. Their pizzas, whose dough remains light and easy to digest, are made with love and imagination. They experiment with new toppings. I was surprised and thrilled with their pizzas. I'd say it's a top-notch pizzeria. A word of advice: try their desserts, too, which are made with exceptional skill.

Mater is a sure thing. A place where you feel at home, pampered by the aromas of the kitchen and the kindness and attentiveness of all the staff. When I want to eat a good pizza, the kind that makes you want to eat another once you've finished one, this is the right place. Quality ingredients, easy-to-digest dough, perfectly cooked. Pizzeria Mater is undoubtedly a top-notch establishment: excellent ingredients, impeccable technique, and an attention to detail that's hard to match, and above all, textbook leavening. Let's take a closer look at what, in my opinion, works very well and what could be improved. Pizza Little to add to what's already been said: all of them are delicious, without exception. The only criticism concerns the Sauris pizza: a true riot of flavors, but all tending toward the sweet. Perhaps it lacks a more savory element to better contrast and balance the overall flavor. PS: The truffle rustico was missing; perhaps that was the savory part... Ambience The interior is tidy, clean, well-lit, and tastefully decorated. This time we chose to eat outside: it's worth it, as long as you accept the compromise of being right on the street. Service Overall, the service was nearly perfect (99%), absolutely in line with the quality expected from a restaurant with these awards. However, there were a couple of areas that could be improved: 1. At a certain point, the water ran out; we waited, then asked, and the owner rightly pointed out to the waiter that in these cases, it would be appropriate to provide more without waiting for the customer's request, since he took the water away from the table. 2. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a very friendly waiter, who began recommending a few pizzas. So far, so good, except that he insisted several times, saying things like: "You come here for these, you always order the fish pizzas, you order what you see on Instagram... you want this... you want that..." So, I understand the reference to social media, but not all customers are the same nor should they be "labeled": I found this approach inelegant. Always professional, yes, but a bit distant. Conclusion Pizzeria Mater is definitely worth a visit: recommended! We've been there twice before writing this review, and on both occasions we had excellent food.

Come da titolo.. ottima pizza, per la quale avrei dato che il massimo alla recensione, ma servizio da rivedere. Partiamo dall'entrata nel locale: appena varcata la soglia ti aspetti almeno un "buona sera" (il minimo credo) da chi lavora in sala, invece nada, la ragazza visibilmente scocciata ci accompagna al tavolo. Successivamente al momento delle ordinazioni delle pizze, il cameriere, insiste sul voler farci ordinare "per forza" degli antipasti con la scusa che ci sarebbe voluto tanto per le pizze (anche perché abbiamo aspettato si e no 20 minuti per averle) Ho trovato il suo modo di fare, pressante e opprimente anche perché se decido di andare a degustare una pizza di questo tipo non voglio rovinarmi l'appetito con dei fritti. A fine pasto avrei gradito delle brioche siciliane con dentro il gelato (non in menu ma avevo visto che venivano portati agli altri tavoli) e mi è stato riposto che non era possibile per via della cucina (?). Ho preferito non indagare. Nulla da ridere però ne sul prezzo delle pizze ne sulla loro bontà. Si sente la ricerca delle materie prime e il prezzo secondo me è più che giustificato. Chi vuole spendere di meno, può benissimo andare da un'altra parte, anche perché i prezzi sono consultabili ovunque. Detto questo io spero che sala si adegui alla cucina perché quando crei delle pizze così, sala e cucina devono lavorare in simbiosi e così facendo si rischia di perdere qualche cliente. Personalmente darò una seconda chance perché Amalia e le sue pizze, meritano tanto.

Piacevolissima scoperta! Ne avevamo sentito parlare ed insieme a mia moglie abbiamo deciso di provare. Consapevoli di andare in un contesto diverso rispetto alla solita pizzeria “industriale”, ci siamo imbattuti in un ambiente accogliente e curato nei minimi dettagli. Il personale si è dimostrato subito gentile e preparato, pronto a raccontarci con entusiasmo la filosofia che sta dietro a ogni piatto. La pizza è stata una vera rivelazione: ingredienti di altissima qualità, impasto leggero e digeribile, abbinamenti ricercati ma mai forzati. Abbiamo apprezzato anche la selezione di fritti, perfettamente in linea con il livello dell’offerta gastronomica. Certo la qualità si paga e questo spesso viene dimenticato…per cui se pensate di trovare cibo spazzatura a quattro soldi questo locale non fa per voi! Una serata piacevole sotto tutti i punti di vista, che sicuramente replicheremo molto presto!
