Mamacocha In Castellammare del golfo

Superb pizzas, both for their dough and quality ingredients. A small place in the center of Castellammare, but well-designed, with a garden area that also creates a beautiful ambiance. I had a pizza with scamorza and mushrooms, which was incredibly good. For two pizzas and a beer, we paid €40, in line with the somewhat uniform prices in town. The staff were incredibly friendly. The service was very fast. We'll be back during our stay.

This pizzeria offers both classic and "long" pizzas. I tried the pizza of the day, but it didn't specify (or say anywhere) that it was "long." If I had known, I wouldn't have chosen it, especially because of the price: for €15, I expect a large, well-topped pizza, while the long version is a bit smaller and thicker than a regular pizza, although the waitress was careful to point out that the dough is the same. Given that I chose this pizzeria because I don't like thick pizzas, I was quite disappointed. The pizza was good and light, but nothing exceptional.
