A stunning, fairytale place. The animals (cows, donkeys, and goats) enchant children and adults alike. Cheeses produced in the on-site dairy and other delicacies for sale combine quality, authenticity, and affordable prices. The owners' enthusiasm for their work inspires joy in visitors as well.

I can't judge the quality of the cheeses because I hate cheese, any kind. The potato tortel was very good, but the speck was especially excellent, with a distinct smokiness. I'd say it's the best speck I've ever tasted in the area. Simple but authentic cuisine, which is what matters.

What you expect from a mountain hut! Simple but authentic food, friendly service, and reasonable prices! We'll be back! PS: There's a small shop inside the building selling products from the mountain hut and other local producers. Highly recommended!

07/01/2026: A very enjoyable walk. The setting was fantastic, with a truly remarkable view of the valley. However, it took us over an hour to eat just one dish, which was very good. We'd been warned it would take a while, but I didn't expect it to be that long. So I highly recommend making a reservation, but be patient or bring sandwiches.
04/01/2026: Just what we were looking for in a traditional mountain restaurant: a warm and welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and above all, traditional and hearty dishes. In the winter, they can only be reached on foot, an hour's walk from the village of Ortisè, and it's worth it. The building and interior are well-maintained and convey a sense of mountain warmth, while all the dishes we ate were hearty and tasty, especially when paired with a nice glass of wine. The wait staff were always available even when the restaurant was busy, and the value for money was absolutely excellent. Highly recommended!
