Malga Venegiota is located in the heart of the Paneveggio Pale di San Martino Natural Park, one of the naturalistic jewels of Trentino. The valley is famous for its postcard landscapes, with the Travignolo stream flowing gently through green meadows and fir forests. In the background, the imposing Pale di San Martino, with the majestic Cimon della Pala, create a breathtaking panorama, ideal for those seeking a deep connection with nature. The simplest route to reach it starts from Pian dei Casoni. Park at Pian dei Casoni (accessible from Predazzo) and follow the comfortable dirt path that crosses the valley. The walk takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes (4 km) with minimal altitude difference, also perfect for families with children. The area is protected, so enjoy the beauty of the place while respecting the surrounding environment.

Beautiful location, I don't give 5 stars due to the massive turnout of people who create a queue for the mountain hut.

We were on holiday with the family in Val di Fiemme and we went to Val Venegia for a walk, spectacular scenery under the Pale di San Martino, there is this truly characteristic mountain hut, fantastic landscape, delicious food, we had a really good time in a postcard place , we will definitely be back, we ate outdoors on a sunny day and I'm telling you, the eyes alone can't tell what they saw in words. I recommend the delicious Polenta and the mountain man's dish. Place accessible to all and from the second car park you can get there with a very pleasant walk, also suitable for children, Parking costs €10, bring coins because the machine doesn't give change.

Wonderful places, welcoming mountain hut and courteous and friendly staff, only note: I always went there to eat the fantastic polenta cooked on the fireplace, unfortunately this idyll is also over, I went back just recently and the polenta is no longer the same , it is now cooked on the stove and has lost all that characteristic flavour, it is now anonymous and tasteless like all the others, a real shame.

It is difficult to describe the beauty of this place in words, and even more difficult is to explain the pleasure of being able to enjoy incredible food with an extraordinary view, in a real terrace on the Pale di San Martino. The dishes are a delight not only in taste but also in presentation, which is uncommon for a mountain hut that preserves authentic flavours. The dumplings are fantastic, soft and tasty, the spatzle are excellent. Polenta and Primiero tosela to lose your mind, with or without sausage it doesn't matter. And then their whipped cream and their mountain ice cream, pure pleasure. It is not possible to book but they manage the queue in a very orderly manner, and even if apparently it seems like you have to wait a long time if you don't arrive during opening hours, in reality everything flows rather quickly and without creating chaos. One of the places that I will always carry in my heart and that will push me to return to these areas again!! Congratulations indeed!!

Difficile descrivere a parole la bellezza di questo luogo, e ancor più difficle è spiegare il piacere di poter gustare del cibo incredibile con una vista straordinaria, in una vera e propria terrazza sulle Pale di San Martino. I piatti sono una delizia non solo nel gusto ma anche nella presentazione, cosa non comune per una malga che conserva sapori autentici. Fantastici i canederli, morbidi e saporiti, ottimi gli spatzle. Polenta e tosela di Primiero da perdere la testa, con o senza salsiccia non importa. E poi la loro panna montata e il loro gelato di malga, goduria allo stato puro. Non è possibile prenotare ma gestiscono la fila in maniera molto ordinata, e anche se apparentemente sembra di dover aspettare molto se non si arriva in orario di apertura, in realtà poi il tutto scorre piuttosto velocemente e senza creare caos. Uno dei posti che porterò sempre nel cuore e che mi spingeranno a tornare nuovamente in queste zone!! Complimenti davvero!!

Intermediate stage of a 15km circular route that began at the visitor center of the Paneveggio Park. In a spectacular position to say the least, in front of the Pale di San Martino, the mountain hut proves to be an excellent point for refreshment but also for enjoying a unique setting. Well cooked, tasty and well prepared dishes. Courteous and fast service in a beautiful, well-kept location with large accommodation capacity (both in the internal and external rooms). Possibility of take away. Adequate prices. Definitely worth trying!

Premio all' organizzazione delle ragazze in sala e buoni anche i piatti tipici da malga/rifugio trentino, con servizio abbastanza celere. Prezzi nella media. Nulla da rimproverare al personale. A difesa in generale delle malghe non si può pretendere il servizio di un ristorante... E se una volta ogni tanto si mangia sotto il sole facciamocene una ragione.

Wonderful place, excellent food and good value for money. Always quite crowded. I would recommend some umbrellas because the tables are all in the sun and on sunny days it gets really strong!
