Starting point for the Alta Via del Granito or for the shortest tour towards the top of Asta. The granite high route lasts 2 and a half days and passes from Malga Rifugio Caldenave, then climbs towards Cima d'Asta (or vice versa). While the journey to the top of Asta lasts 4 and a half hours one way. Unfortunately I found the hut closed when I went there and I cannot evaluate the quality of the food offered.

Nice location for various excursions. Departure base for Cima d'Asta and arrival for the beautiful trekking of the Sorgazza and Cengello gorges. Excellent value for money. The desserts are truly FANTASTIC!!!

We decided to have lunch here on a rainy day. We found a welcoming environment and very kind staff as well as the company of a splendid dog. The food was also excellent (carne salada carpaccio, melted cheese with polenta and some side dishes).

Ate very well, tagliatelle with mushrooms, platter of cold cuts, polenta and cooked cheese and finally panna cotta with fresh blueberries and strudel, all plentiful and delicious! Recommended

Introduction.... I only frequented this mountain hut after returning from long excursions to the peaks of Lagorai. You can always find beer but a stuffed sandwich sometimes remains a mirage, especially when the place is besieged by hundreds of tourists, who after a short walk, come up here just to eat. But to know how to eat.....better to rely on other reviews.

Alla base di molte passeggiate . Rifugio un po’ anonimo all’interno . Esterni con tavoli spartani ma ci sta.
Il cibo non mi ha esaltato. Mi aspettavo di più
