I totally loved the place in all aspects! Restaurant is located up on a hill and requires a hike from the centre of Moena, which was an additional asset for me. Building was constructed about 12 years ago with use of old wood and stone, what makes it extremely cozy and respectful for nature. There is a real fireplace in the main room. Restaurant is small but was fully booked. All guest were served by one, very kind and competent waitress. We loved every single dish we have ordered. We will definitely come back to Malga Roncac when we are in Moena.

Ho scoperto questa malga per caso, ed ho trovato un posto MAGICO ! Tutto perfetto: location e atmosfera, arredi, servizio e accoglienza, menù e carta vini. I piatti arrivano senza lunghe attese, e conditi con il sorriso delle ragazze: sono un tripudio di colori per gli occhi, profumi per il naso, sapori per il palato. Ogni singolo ingrediente è valorizzato , senza eccessi e sempre in equilibrio con gli altri, come nel risotto al radicchio, paté di fegato e formaggio erborinato: eccezionale! Non solo carne, ma anche ottimo pesce e piatti legati alla tradizione, come l'antipasto di speck e lardo, schuttelbrot e gnocco fritto ripieno di crauti: slurp, lecchiamoci i baffi! E per gli amanti dei dolci, ho scelto un Bonet e gelato fior di latte, che neanche in Piemonte ho mai trovato cosi buono. Anche il conto è in perfetto equilibrio con l'alta qualità e tutti i servizi ricevuti; nessun eccesso, ma solo la dimostrazione che quando c'è amore e passione per il proprio lavoro, c'è anche onestà; e noi torneremo molto volentieri. BRAVI a tutti !!

A wonderfull italian food experience. The place is magical.

For the location alone, isolated above the town of Moena with a view of the valley and mountains in front, it would be worth the visit. once inside, one cannot help but be struck by the intimacy of a real mountain hut, expertly renovated and modernized but without losing the rustic charm. delicious dishes to the eye and the palate, simplicity and taste in a mix that won us over. few seats, reservation essential.. don't miss the opportunity if you are in the area!

Refuge two minutes from the Moena square, with large car parking available. The place has more or less 30 seats so I highly recommend booking because it's worth trying! The restaurant inside is really warm and welcoming where I noticed, in addition to the beautiful furnishings, the care of the tables: very clean and high quality glasses as well as the cutlery (which is not a given in all restaurants). Limited menu 4 starters 4 first courses 4 second courses plus dry dishes of the day super sufficient for my tastes. The dishes were all super good as was the wine. I highly recommend.

Beautiful hut in Moena with spectacular views of the valley, excellent food, excellent service and reasonable prices, good stopover when I go to Val di Fiemme.
