A nice little, worthwhile hike without any special effort. We take bus number 441 from Welsberg train station (free with the guest card) or by car (paid parking lot at the end of the Gsiesertal) to the valley end hut in the Gsiesertal. We hike leisurely in just under an hour on the steadily ascending forest path no. 49 directly to the Messner Hut at an altitude of 1,660 m. Also ideal for strollers or seniors. Alternatively, after about a kilometer you can turn off the wide forest path to the right, cross the mountain stream on the narrow "Squirrel Path", No. 49A, and also use this narrower path to reach the Messner Hütte. The hut is located on the sunny slope side, has cozy dining rooms and a large, partially covered terrace with a beautiful view of the Casies mountains. There are a variety of play options for children. The staff is friendly and attentive even during busy periods. In addition to an extensive drinks menu, there are also a whole range of regional dishes on the menu and the current daily menu. Our dishes (chanterelle dumplings and dumpling tris) were beautifully presented and tasted really good, but could have been a little larger. We'd love to come back!

Servizio lento, piatti nella media, bella la posizione su un ampio prato, tavoli si all'esterno che all'interno in bella stube. Giochi per bambini. Posto tranquillo facilmente raggiungibile su strada carrozzabile in un'ora , non si può raggiungere in auto .
