I found myself in Reggio for a course at the Confcommercio and arriving on site with a large suitcase I asked the courtesy of a boy from the bar downstairs, he immediately proved helpful and courteous, making me put my suitcase in a corner of the bar, excellent bar excellent breakfasts excellent staff my rating 10 especially to the boy who showed up immediately at my request... 💯💯💯

Nice place with good food and breakfast. Can be difficult to find a table at meals. If you sit outside, the cigarette smoke can be quite disturbing as many people smoke.

Second time in Reggio, first time at MALAVENDA...I will return. Excellent appetizer, excellent calamarata, excellent grilled swordfish, excellent dessert. Impeccable service and staff, effective and efficient. Wonderful Angelica, professional and kind.

The furnishings are somewhat reminiscent of Northern European style between the natural color of the wood and shelves full of novels in various languages and bottles of wine, creating a playful mix with the dishes served instead on colorful local artistic porcelain plates. Angelica's service was able to guide us through the traditions and the research carried out on the basis of the proposals and combinations of the very refined menu. Straightforward, cheerful and knowledgeable, she knows how to expertly propose the right dishes for various palates, becoming an added value for the restaurant herself.

Sono stato per tre sere consegutive in questo piccolo angolo di relax vicino al lungomare di Reggio. Angelica, aiutata da tutto lo staff, ha reso ogni cena unica. Un tour gastronomico tra i loro piatti forti e tipici: ‘nduja calda con crostini, la struncatura, tagliere di salmone affumicato da loro con burro salato agli agrumi e il super polpo arrostito con i friggitelli. Per ogni piatto Angelica mi ha sapientemente consigliato l’abbinamento alcolico corretto, consigliatissimo il pecorello.

Sicuramente è un bellissimo locale sia internamente che esternamente, diciamo un new location per Reggio Calabria. Mi ha lasciato "basita" che per accompagnare le bevande scelte si mettano in conto gli stuzzichini cosa che nel resto d'Italia non mi è mai successa e pagare anche il servizio (neanche sul lago di Garda mi è capitato), eccessivo e fuori luogo lo giudico e valuto; se vogliamo che ci sia turismo non è facendo pagare taralli, stuzzichini e servizio che ti fai il guadagno. Venuta una volta non ci torno più nè tantomeno lo sponsorizzo. A Venezia potrei forse "giustificarlo" ma neanche i taralli ad un euro, piuttosto li compro in offerta al supermercato come gli stuzzichini.
