I'm giving it five stars simply because this place gives me the feeling of freedom, in every way: the freedom to choose what to eat and drink, served by exquisite staff, and the pleasant company of Gianni, the owner... Summer is the season par excellence when one is most carefree, and meeting for a drink or dinner at Makossa means maintaining that sense of well-being... the music accompanies our moments and is always carefully chosen. The setting is that of San Cataldo, a place where, despite the influx of tourists and others, it remains a sought-after place. See you next time!

A fantastic experience...a fantastic evening, with a wonderful staff led by the proletarian Gianni and his partner Selene, who delighted me with their company and accompanied me with a selection of dishes to taste, complemented by a youthful and lively atmosphere with a selection of music for connoisseurs...one to mark in the book of memories.

At Makassa, you truly feel at home: Gianni's warm welcome and gentle manner make you realize how good manners can enhance an already excellent service. The furnishings are tastefully chosen, smart yet thoughtful, creating an elegant yet informal atmosphere. The real gem of the place, however, is Ginevra, whose spontaneity and eagerness to be with others make her seem like the little "manager" of the house, adding that family touch that makes the experience unique. Everything exudes warmth, welcome, and passion. Well done, guys, keep it up!

22/03/2025: Locale molto carino nel centro di Felline, personale cortese e preparato. Antipasto molto buono (specie il capocollo di Martina Franca) ed ottime pizze (impasto eccellente). Lo consiglio.

Le Pizzecate

22/10/2025: Excellent choice in San Cesario de Lecce. We ordered some fries and the burrata, mortadella, and pistachio pizza, and it was a delicacy. Very attentive and friendly. We ate there; there are two small tables outside. Many people came to place their orders. We would eat here again.
27/09/2025: A wonderful little place in a small Italian town! We had dinner here several times and tried different pizzas each time – one with traditional dough and one gluten-free. Both were amazing, and the gluten-free pizza was by far the best I’ve ever had in Italy! The staff were incredibly kind, we always got a table on the patio, and the owner was genuinely delighted to welcome visitors from Poland. Each time we were treated to limoncello and grappa, which made us feel truly special. Nowhere else in Italy have we experienced such warm hospitality. Highly recommended – and if we return to Puglia, we’ll definitely come back!
