I refer to the review made by my sister two days ago, having also participated in that dinner and especially to the response sent by email by the "owner".

"We went to this restaurant to celebrate my father's birthday. I'll start by saying that we had 5 seafood salads (seasoned with a vinegary scent), a mussel soute and fried baby octopus, 2 spaghetti with clams and 5 fettuccine with seafood (25 euros each), 2 sorbets (paid 8 euros each), 2 desserts and a bottle of wine: total bill 430 euros!
The fish was obviously fresh, but cooked like in a trattoria. Of the old "velletrano" only the elegance of the location and the attentive service of the waiters remain. For the rest, it's ALL SMOKE AND NO ROAST!
I don't like to belittle the work of others, but the food offered by this restaurant is absolutely not worth the bill paid and we certainly won't be returning."

"The menus were displayed everywhere: inside, outside, on the tables... all that was missing was to take them home for free. Despite this, you ordered "traditional" dishes not on the menu - such as the inevitable spaghetti veraci and seafood salad. For goodness sake, the fish was fresh (as you yourselves admitted), but we ask ourselves: what did you expect to be "special" from off-menu dishes of that type? If you had looked at the real menu, the one that everyone else reads, you would have found a selection of raw fish, creative proposals and modern cuisine, designed specifically for those looking for something different. But we understand: ordering without reading is definitely more adventurous. As for the review... well, we read it, smile, and send it back to you with affection. The prices were there, black on white. If you didn't like them, you just had to look up (and maybe your heels) and look for other places "
I would just like to add that the seafood salads only tasted of vinegar, of which they were drowned, and my first course of "homemade fettuccine with shellfish", chosen from the menu (unlike what the owner replies when he hints that we didn't even read it ironically) was a mediocre dish that does not at all reflect "the creative proposal and modern cuisine" always praised in the reply. Furthermore, I did not think ordering a classic dish like a seafood salad was "decidedly adventurous", always as written in the reply, for a restaurant of your level and with your experience....
As for the prices, unlike what the owner always writes in the reply, the real problem was not that we didn't like them or they were too high, but that unfortunately they were not accompanied by service and dishes of equal quality. WE WOULD HAVE SPENT MUCH MORE, EVEN VERY WILLINGLY, BUT WE PREFERRED TO STOP WITH THE FIRST GIVEN THE UNPLEASANT OUTCOME.
Personally, I will return to eat at your restaurant, it's a shame that you take a criticism in the wrong way instead of perhaps transforming it into an idea to perfect something that is not perfect. But humility is now for few.
Last point, since the review was sent back to us "with affection, "smiling".... I hope that the next time I come to dinner at your place, in addition to the review, the receipt will also be sent back to me, because as far as I know it has not arrived, this to always remain on the level of "the decidedly more adventurous"

We wanted to go to this restaurant because a friend recommended it. They were practically on top of us, basically we had to hurry, they wanted to close. The food was good, but otherwise nada de nada.

Qualified staff, excellent quality food, fresh raw materials. Innovative and inclusive menu with fair prices. An experience that I recommend and share. I will definitely come back
