14/01/2025: For those like me who don't like food from service stations, "da Giancarla" remains a valid alternative if you find yourself on the A1 motorway near MAGLIANO SABINA... The tavern is located within a service area 1.5 km away. from the MAGLIANO SABINA toll booth. The atmosphere, service and location are typical of the Roman tavern as are the dishes offered. The flavored tagliolini all'amatriciana Bianca (a sort of slightly revised gricia) are good, while the classic bucatino all'amatriciana is less satisfying (the pasta is subtly overcooked and lightly sautéed so as to present a very small liquid layer at the bottom of the plate); of a second course, a mixed grill sufficient for two people, a sautéed chicory, a roast potato, half a liter of wine and coffee... €54.
