In the center of Venosa, a small, well-appointed restaurant with rustic decor, yet clean and welcoming. The service was quick, but the staff's descriptions were a bit confusing. The appetizers were, fortunately, very good. The first courses were good and beautifully presented, while the second courses were plentiful and well-prepared. The appetizers were in the fine Lucanian tradition, and the cured meats and cheeses were exquisite. A word of advice to the staff: be more helpful and precise in the descriptions of the dishes; your work is important. We'll be back.

A quaint and welcoming restaurant in the center of Venosa. Its small size ensures quick service; the staff is truly courteous and attentive to guests' requests. The menu is clearly artisanal, with attention to both the palate and the eye (the dishes are beautiful, see the photos).
We found the dishes tasty and balanced. As a vegetarian, I had no problem finding dishes to my liking: cream of fava beans and chicory, ravioli with eggplant cream. The grilled meats were also excellent (according to those eating with me).
In the kitchen, the father and son team, with whom we exchanged only a few words, came across as excellent people with a passion for their craft.
Five stars truly deserved! 😃

We went to Venosa, which I highly recommend, and with a reservation (it seems necessary here, otherwise you won't find a table anywhere), we ate excellent traditional Lucanian cuisine. We were very satisfied, and will be back.

The house antipasto was excellent! All the dishes, even the zucchini and eggplant, were truly delicious. The bread and the stuffed ravioli were also excellent. And what can I say about the Aglianico wine (house wine)? It was generous and full-bodied, lively but not heavy. The service was friendly and professional. Highly recommended!
