A little oasis, very nice atmosphere! The traditional open-faced sandwiches are highly recommended! The owner is very friendly and even let me charge my e-bike. I'll definitely be back!

I was passing through and stopped for a coffee, but I got carried away by the bread 🍞 cunzato... I made an excellent choice; it was well-seasoned and delicious. The staff was kind and friendly. I recommend it.

Intrigued by the reviews, we went to dinner at Life, a restaurant and tobacconist. What can I say? We had a wonderful time, in fact, we dined there three nights during our stay. The menu features excellent, fresh ingredients, excellent appetizers, delicious boiage with ragù, excellent spaghetti with sea urchin, fantastic stuffed calamari, and much more; excellent local wines. On Friday, couscous with a delicious fried fish dish was fantastic. The sweet conclusion was a superb mandarin granita. I wanted to thank you again for hosting us; we had a wonderful time. Honestly, given the many positive reviews, I'm disappointed. We felt ignored, even though we were there early in the evening (7 PM) and there wasn't much going on. The waiter set the place settings on our table without greeting us and was excessively slow. However, the lady, presumably the owner, made an effort, and we managed to communicate a little in English. The food was good, the pizza bread delicious. The Sicilian salad, according to the menu with cherry tomatoes, olives, onions, olives, and capers, consisted of potatoes and regular tomatoes—no olives. When I asked if this was the salad I'd ordered, the owner told me that's how it's served nowadays in Sicily. 🙊 Overall, the food was still inviting; the pizza bread was on the house, and there was a lemon and grenadine sorbet at the end. 👍🏻

We had a mixed appetizer of land and octopus, followed by stuffed squid and a shrimp and pistachio busiate. The food was truly excellent and plentiful, and the service was very kind, offering advice and explanations. At the end, we were even treated to focaccia and orange granita—all truly delicious. We can highly recommend it after an evening with a sunset at Alle Saline.
