A very nice hotel with many thoughtful touches. The staff were very professional, friendly, and attentive. Overall, a very positive experience.

I don't know why Google removed my previous review: perhaps it was so positive it seemed suspicious, but the truth is, it wasn't bought at all. It was sincere. We live in an age where everyone improvises "luxury," imitates it, flaunts it. But true luxury doesn't shout; it's recognizable. And at Vesuvio, I found it again. Even though I've never slept there, I've used their services, the bar, and especially the restaurant, several times over the years. Each time, I've found the same thing: a quality that can't be improvised. Here, luxury is made of genuine politeness, of kindness that's never contrived, of a service born from a long history, from a true tradition, one that almost no one possesses anymore. The location is excellent, but what really makes the difference are the people, and the impeccable way they welcome you. A place for good people, where you truly feel good. And this, for me, is the greatest luxury.

A fantastic location and a lovely terrace.

The Gran Vesuvio is a type of hotel that is very difficult to find in a European city these days. The facilities are extraordinary and the service is impeccable in every respect.

I stayed in this hotel, in a suite with a private terrace, twenty-eight years ago... I still have wonderful memories!

Very luxurious property, strategically located, with a beautiful view... Very helpful, friendly, and kind staff. Baroque-style rooms, very elegant and clean. It's a shame about the construction site, which obscures the view and traffic flow to the property.

Nice hotel. AC did not work. Maintenance came up and said our key was no good. Go to desk and they say the keys were working, but they made a third key. Back to room, no AC. We called front desk and they said it was turned off for the Winter. Different maintenance guy shows up and says he will turn it on downstairs. Still no AC. They gave us a fan and we left the balcony door open all night. You might think at 40 at night and 60 during the day, you don't need AC. It was about 80 in our room because the sun baked the room from sun up to down. The balcony had a really nice storm shutter that kept the sun out. We would close it when we left the room and the staff would open and the black out blinds every time they cleaned the room. We asked for them to leave it open to no avail. 5 stars if they AC worked.
