Super nice location (we sat in the garden under the trees). Several seating areas and relaxed atmosphere. Nice young service. Separate drinks (no Coca-Cola or Fanta) but more local (alternative) but no less tasty. Nice IPA beer. Unfortunately, many wasps that mainly came to melon ordered by other guests. Strange reaction from a slightly grumpy bartender at checkout; can only accept cash because that is normal in Italy. After paying everything by card for two weeks, this is a strange comment. Ultimately, it was possible to pay with PIN. A bit strange....

This is it. Fantastic food, large portions, local fare, or more popular Italian fare, too. Great, and the cracker bread was good. We had as many local dishes as we could to share at the table. We did not finish! Great waitress and other staff. We ate outdoors with fine weather. Would not hesitate to recommend or to return. Note, it lists Piombino as the location, but it is a tiny town up the taller hill called Populonia (it's in the restaurant name 😉) I see David below made a disparaging review on the service and pricing. Service was outstanding, and they did speak English rather well and insisted on it as my family does not speak English 😆 I am fluent in Italian, however, but a bit out of practice speaking it. So I spoke in Italian for the practice. The staff was ultra friendly, honestly. Actually tied three ways as the friendliest service for us while in Italy. Prices were very fair considering the portion sizes. Sorry David, we paid by card without incidents. And David, try being a decent human to others. It goes a long way in getting kindness back. We were treated like family as we asked what we should get that was typical of the area. They even took family pictures of us. Such poor service 😉 😆

Only reason why I don’t give it 5 across the board is cause my Italian isn’t that great and so you definitely should have learnt a A2 level speaking Level before coming here. Staff are great just some family working hard especially Luca took care of the 4 of us every morning remember our order didn’t even have to say anything stepping into the bar. The dinner service in the back is like having an extreme backyard dinner tons of seating, great setting and our server was amazing. Yes they want cash cause they don’t want the debit machines taking the cut from the sale that is every debit machine everywhere. Patience is a virtue and if you’re a foreigner coming here do your own research. 👍

Siamo capitati per un giro a Populonia arrivati quasi alle 14 ci siamo fermati a pranzo, tavoli all' aperto molto carini cibo buono abbiamo preso una ribollita e una pappa col pomodoro e burrata acqua e caffè . Personale gentile e disponibile Prezzi giusti

Chi l'ha detto che valutare il massimo un locale vuol dire avere visitato un ristorante stellato e avere sperimentato il massimo della gastronomia? Io penso che anche una offerta relativamente semplice servita con efficienza e cortesia ad un prezzo equo possa meritare altrettanto. È il caso di questo locale, inserito nel contesto davvero particolare del borgo di Populonia. Abbiamo preso un tagliere misto di salumi e formaggi toscani eccellenti - in particolareil prosciutto, di cui abbiamo chiesto alcune varianti, che sono state fatte senza alcun problema; due bicchieri di rosso della casa, buono, e poi una classica crostata fatta in loco anche questa molto buona. Sarà stata la bella giornata di sole, la situazione tranquilla e poco affollata, senza la pressione estiva del turismo, che ci siamo detti, cosa possiamo desiderare di più?
