Small restaurant with very good service and food, detailed explanations of all dishes in English, antipasti plate with a selection of all starters to share, primo piatti 9-12€, secondo patti 15€, dolci 5-7€, wine also by the glass 6€, restaurant highly recommended.

A quick lunch in transit, a pleasant surprise. Nice place, very friendly staff, excellent traditional Piedmontese dishes, with vegetarian alternatives and some vegan options. Nicely stocked cellar. Next time we pass through Savona, we'll know where to go. Highly recommended

05/06/2025: Excellent pizza both fried (very dry and digestible) and classic. Excellent choice of bottled beers. You can eat on site, absolutely recommended!
26/05/2025: Highly recommended! The pizza is really good and the staff is super friendly, organized and efficient: when we arrived the place was super crowded, they told us it would take 40 minutes and they were very precise. They were also available to make me a pizza off the menu. The place is humble and there is no table service: you can order takeaway or eat on site inside or outside.

Ristorante Osteria Il Candidato

05/06/2025: The only flaw is that the pasta could have been a little more generous (it was really good!)
04/06/2025: It is now a fixed stop on our holidays in Liguria... dinner at the Candidate, in one of the alleys in the center of Albenga, from the first courses to the pizza to the fantastic farinata with onions and rosemary, truly Top. The owner is very kind and joking, what can I say... recommended!
