For me it is the best restaurant in San Teodoro or at least the one where you eat better. I had dinner twice with the family and on both occasions my spaghetti with clams was very good, the same goes for the calamarata. Prices in general in San Teodoro are quite high so in my opinion this aspect is negligible as the restaurant is in line with the prices of the others. I have also been to dinner in several other restaurants, even those with thousands of reviews and higher ratings, but this is the one where the food is best

Rating 3.9 definitely too low. For me the right one is 4.5! Delicious pizza, delicious breaded shrimp. Delicious tuna steak!!! I recommend it

Delicious food, the best in Sardinia. The seafood melted in your mouth. I was on a week-long trip with my family and this was the best restaurant we've ever been to. Despite the crowd, the staff found a table for us. I highly recommend it

Definitely overpriced for what we ate. Yes, it's true we are in the center of San Teodoro and the place looks quite good. Cute. We had 3 fried foods (VERY POOR), a sea bream fillet with puree and spinach, a margherita, 2 waters and a glass of white wine. We spent a whopping €170. If you pass by San Teodoro I recommend trying something else

Nice restaurant, but unfortunately quite unfriendly, almost arrogant staff. The menu is manageable and unfortunately there are no starters such as bruschetta. We still had a pleasant time here. But next time we will choose another restaurant. Sorry!

La Taverna del Pittore

08/12/2024: At the edge of the fields stands an impregnable fort of taste imperturbably. From its height rise the unusual fragrances resulting from peasant wisdom and the squeezing of never tamed humours; of those who have never surrendered to the modernity of the time. To enter into his graces I look for obligatory openings that limit my gaze and sharpen my senses. The cypress trees monitor my movement, rubbing each other and releasing an acrid smell. As in a daydream I reach the fortress insensitive to the passage of foreigners. My light step reaches my taste craving where time brings me back to ancient flavours. At the tavern I am welcomed by wise fortune tellers who, with their potions and remedies, try to divine my gut choices. In a riot of mushrooms just domesticated from the freshly cut pasta, the parsley appears, the symbol and quirk of the creator of the dish. And like a painter he creates the dense custard, a clash and meeting of loaded yolks and dormant starch, brushing it on the palette where crumbly shortcrust pastry and toasty pine nuts break down the certainties of ancient recipes. The painting adapts to the environment and followers of distant worlds and flavors tempt me by completing the work with intense and unusual essences. The local pressing of intense purple-red grape berries leaves room for warm yellows which heighten the acidity typical of humid caves. The Mayan gold burned by expert hands is cauterized by the milking of local cows. The painting comes to life by modifying the consistencies and colors of the brushstrokes so as to resemble our own ponches in which the sails unfold in citrus scents. I close the pedestal and the constructed image is so clear that the frame is not necessary. From watercolour.
10/11/2024: Top lunch with sublime dishes, all accompanied by superlative wines. The staff, Niccolò and Giuseppe spoiled us with their attention, making us spend an unforgettable day in Bolgheri that we will remember for a long time!

07/07/2024: Location unica, sia come contesto che come qualità. Abbiamo avuto la fortuna di cenare qui in una bella serata di inizio luglio, nel giardino esterno davanti ad un fantastico tramonto che ha reso l’esperienza ancor più superlativa. Il menù è esattamente quello che ti aspetti, con la carne come elemento principale senza tuttavia trascurare primi ed antipasti, tra cui ci sono molti piatti davvero interessanti. Noi abbiamo provato per la prima volta la Panzanese, il cui rapporto qualità prezzo mi ha davvero colpito. La carta dei vini non è da meno, anzi se possibile è ancora meglio; offre etichette in grado di soddisfare ogni gusto e tasca, arrivando anche a bottiglie molto importanti. Buona selezione di vini al calice, che comprende addirittura un Sassicaia. Il prezzo è certamente allineato alla qualità, anche se la cifra finale è molto legata a ciò che si decide di bere. Assolutamente consigliato, potendo ci saremmo tornati più volte.
