La Lamia In Tropea

fter a wonderful day in Tropea with a walk around the city and long swims on the beach, we came across La Lamia in the evening around 10pm. After a short wait, a table was set for us and we sat at a tasteful table in an almost idyllic setting. For us Berliners, the way we imagine and desire Italy, but it has never been like this in Berlin and Germany. The order was taken quickly. Due to their hunger, both children took the main course along with their parents' starter. Everything was served quickly and very professionally, corresponding requests were immediately taken into account and fulfilled. The food itself was very good overall. Beef fillet with rocket and medium fried cherry tomatoes, spaghetti with red prawns and black truffle, pasta filled with mozzarella and grilled sausage with Tropea salad. The steak was exactly as expected, the truffle pasta was fantastic, even with mozzarella, and the sausage was unexpectedly served differently and tasted great. Only the Tropea salad was a little weak, but this is a very high level problem. We really enjoyed ourselves this evening and really good food and great service. Finally Italian cuisine according to our ideas... thank you very much! And not a comment at the end: Rarely have we had the feeling that price and performance go so well together!!!

Super friendly and very good food.

We were guided by the reviews and spent a pleasant evening... to be honest, the food was all good, but it lacked an extra boost... high quality products, and excellent and abundant first courses. Furthermore, a positive note for the professionalism in serving the wine. I would happily return, especially for the charming and evocative place

Restaurant with clear identity. Availability and hospitality are the first things that catch the eye, a characteristic location, with potted olive trees, beautiful wooden tables. Wide menu for every need. Advised.

Had a lovely dinner here outside. Staff were great and food was delicious. Did not have a reservation but they accommodated us. A must try in Tropea

A lovely restaurant in a beautiful setting, the food was wonderful and the service was amazing. We stumbled on this restaurant last night and had a pasta dish and the fish of the day (seabream) it was delicious! The staff were so nice and we were the last people to leave around midnight, we had a lovely conversation with the staff and owners and although it was late they didn’t rush us finishing our drinks and even gave us a nice present when we left. Our favourite meal in Tropea we highly recommend!

Book in advance! We recommend booking earlier in the evening, as if you’re in season, it will get very busy around 8/8.30. We had the Rigatoni a Carbunara Calabra, Spaghetti cu aglju, oglju e peperuncinu, and the rocket with Parmesan salad. 3 perfect dishes - thanks to the chef’s. We also ordered a regional local bottle of wine - Lunapiena, for those who like a reasonably dry white, this will be your ticket! Tasty wine to match our pasta. It can be served in full or half bottles. The service was brilliant. Professional and attentive. Thanks team! Lastly, in season. you may be able to catch a local live musician play, he started playing around 1930/1945 on the night we went - although no guarantee he’ll be there performing and he takes cash tips. Added to a great atmosphere and a fantastic night out.

Esperienza culinaria eccezionale, tutto preparato con maestria e sapori autentici, personale attento e gentile, sicuramente uno dei ristoranti migliori di Tropea, il vino della tenuta Iuzzolini Madre Goccia ci ha accompagnato nella cena, buonissimo lo consiglio. I prezzi sono nella media della qualità e servizio offerti.
