La Conca In Serrone

I don't usually write reviews that attack just for the sake of it. I am of the opinion that those who work regardless should be respected. Mine is a personal opinion perhaps aimed at improving a service. I booked a room for one night in this hotel, everyone arrived a little busy given the lunch time, they left me the keys to the room without too much ceremony. We go up and the lock was broken and difficult to close. The room is dated, the beds are single beds pushed together but very old and very uncomfortable, the heat is oppressive, but there were ants in the very clean bathroom, it was impossible to leave personal items. A small fan tried somehow to make the room livable but with poor results. In the evening there was a village festival in the main square which was pleasant, but as the owner himself told us, it was difficult to rest, the music loud until 2 and 4/5 cleaning the square perhaps even louder than the music itself. Oppressive heat with no possibility of closing the windows. An air conditioner would be enough, a refresh of the room in terms of furniture without too many demands. The positive sides: access to dogs without any supplement and with kindness and tranquility, the price 50 euros for two nothing to say, the excellent breakfast offered at the nearby bar, a pastry shop with fresh desserts and friendly staff. And then certainly dinner, we dined in the restaurant outside full of people but friendly and helpful service (I'm only sorry that it's not possible to have a menu to look at calmly and where to see the prices) we had two cuts with delicious side dishes, water and wine 50 euros (with also a little discount) The atmosphere is friendly and cordial with people who work hard and it shows, a little more care is needed when it comes to hotels and rooms.

Service good, food not as good as the service was.

Having arrived here during a cycle holiday in the evening at a rather late hour, the owner was exceptionally kind in welcoming us anyway despite the time and the place being full because there was a private party going on, so we still had the opportunity to stay overnight and eating in this simple and perhaps a little old establishment but the food was really excellent and the room had everything you needed, the rest was done by the exquisite hospitality of the owners and the excellent value for money. Definitely recommended

Passed by with the bike, they treated us like we were family. The dinner was excellent, ranging from starters, first courses and desserts, accompanied by an excellent homemade focaccia. Advised.

I went with some friends to this restaurant which was recommended by one of them who knew it and I had a great time. Entering the restaurant, which I believe is family-run, feels like taking a step back in time (60s/80s) but the atmosphere is very good because it is furnished in a style typical of those years. In fact, in a corridor of the club, I saw one of those snap phones hanging on the wall that I used to make calls with as a boy! We sat around some tables overlooking a pleasant veranda with a terrace all full of flowers! A very nice elderly lady served us and advised us to take one of their specialties first, namely potato gnocchi with pork ribs and tomato and basil sauces and second a real specialty: vignarola (broad bean stew, artichokes and chard) all exquisitely washed down with an excellent house red wine. I also appreciated the good, fresh and fragrant bread! The service was fast (there were few customers) and the price paid was average. Advised!

Restaurant with the main characteristic being authenticity with home-made and sincere flavours. Friendly staff and helpful family treatment. The prices are fair and honest. You can happily return when you come to these places.
