La Cantina di Nitrodi In Barano d'ischia

This is the most delicious restaurant I've eaten at in Ischia. The grilled seafood here is top-notch. This kind of restaurant is suitable for diners with high taste requirements. Ordinary diners may not understand its cooking skills.

We had lunch at this restaurant after visiting the Nitrodi springs. The owner is a professional and friendly person. We ate some truly delicious, mostly homemade dishes. The owner explained that everything we ate was from their own garden, except for the fish, of course. Surrounded by greenery, the restaurant has a covered terrace with a breathtaking view—not to be missed.

Friendly and welcoming. We didn't need to book for lunch (September 8, 2025). There were plenty of seats, some of which were empty. Indoor or outdoor seating—your choice. The mixed antipasto of cured meats and cheeses was excellent, especially the cheeses. There were also broad beans cooked in vinegar and pickled eggplant. The linguine with mussels and clams was very good and delicate. Not salty and generous for one. The fried mixed seafood, although in adequate quantities, wasn't particularly appealing to me due to an aftertaste from the fish that we couldn't identify. The owner said it was the typical smell of sea bream. Still, it's recommended because overall it's worth it and the location is lovely.

We were directed here by a merchant from Ischia...what can I say, truly good...enchanting place, and then there's Federico, truly good and friendly. Well done.
