The "La calcara" restaurant is located on the outskirts of the industrial area of Pietragalla. It has a rather large, well-kept room, with an exposed oven, and has sufficient parking. The cured meats in the appetizer are really good, the pizza is of excellent quality and the ingredients are of good quality. Even the homemade desserts were delicious.

As a Lucanian born in Turin, when I come to Avigliano I am looking for cod and bran peppers. I took the cod and pepperoni pizza, perfect for both the sauce and the pasta. Courtesy and punctuality reinforce the positive opinion.

We were welcomed with warmth and kindness. Dishes with typical local products and house wine. The place was clean and tidy, as were the bathrooms!
The prices are not exactly cheap but it is compensated by everything else.

Very nice location. Really good pizza (perhaps too much crust), the homemade truffle was top especially if "drowned". Overall good prices. In the end, an excellent place, a little difficult to reach because it is too far from the main population centres.

Da lucano nato a Torino, quando vengo ad avigliano sono alla ricerca di baccalà e peperoni cruschi. Ho preso la pizza baccalà e peperoni crusti, perfetta sia per il condimento che per la pasta. Cortesia e puntualità , rafforzano il giudizio positivo.
