so so good food and restaurant, very kind and friendly waitress, rare to find someone who can communicate well in another language in these areas. Next year we will definitely be back especially to try the pizza that unfortunately we couldn't eat for lunch

The restaurant-pizzeria “La Calcara”, located on the outskirts of Pietragalla (PZ), offers an excellent choice of pizzas and dishes, with typical Lucanian specialties. The pizza has a light and easily digestible dough, the edge is high but crunchy, the ingredients are of good quality. The option with cod and cruschi peppers was really tasty, as was the one with speck. We also ate the house appetizer made with only cured meats, they all seemed homemade. To finish, we found the desserts exquisite, both the chocolate cake and the cheesecake with berries.

Very nice place, large, clean and well-kept. La Calcara starter highly recommended. Really good pizza. Prices commensurate with the quality of the food. Welcoming and very friendly staff. Definitely coming back for lunch.

23/03/2025: The place is clean in every detail, the staff is very courteous and professional, the products are all produced by them, the quality of the food is spectacular, the place has a car park large enough for cars. The girl who served the tables was always kind and friendly. I highly recommend this place because in the entire Potenza area it is very rare to find a clean place that sells fresh products. If you could give 100 or more stars they would all be deserved.
28/02/2025: Excellent welcome, all very good in taste and flavour, fresh and very tender meat, excellent cutting and preparation, I recommend it for an evening in excellent company and excellent food

12/05/2025: Seen from the outside, a place may seem neglected, but as soon as you sit down and interact with the staff you understand the genuineness of these people, you order the dishes and they arrive in a short time, fantastic starters, excellent meat, delicious chips and the best is the melted caciocavallo, the waiter offered us an excellent dessert made by them which was very good, it brought back some memories within me, The only advice I can give (and it's fine even if it isn't taken into consideration) is to clean the aquarium at the entrance. Beautiful moment, a grandpa entered from the counter, greeted us with a huge smile and wished us a good appetite
