17/11/2024: A place that surprised me just a few minutes from Genoa Corso Europa... A fairytale place that belongs to another time, which, however, is still part of us. What I appreciated most were the place itself, the warm, kind and smiling service and the choice of wines which was not at all banal. Regarding the food: all good, but without surprises, also because it is our Ligurian cuisine. The former are abundant: in my opinion the pesto, which, for goodness sake, is artisanal, should be loaded with more pine nuts and perhaps with a more accentuated note of garlic it would be better, perhaps for reasons of adaptation to the customer, garlic is not added, something that many restaurateurs now have in common. I would have done without mushrooms, but a noteworthy dish is the cheek: very tender and tasty. For desserts I recommend the shortcrust pastry shell filled with cream and fruit; For the Tiramisu, I would have used another type of biscuit, so I didn't appreciate it much. Having said that, I recommend it and I would go back again tomorrow for the hare ragout. It's a place that gave me the impression of specializing mostly in meat.
