Welcoming place and very friendly staff, even though it was crowded, they immediately prepared a plate of pasta for the girls. Definitely coming back!

After a nice walk in Naples we decide to stop at the barrel for lunch... we had a magnificent aubergine parmigiana as a starter followed by two first courses, a risotto with porcini mushrooms and a Sicilian both well made, two glasses of Cabernet Sauvignon (excellent) and a bottle of sparkling water... Lunch in a quiet and relaxed atmosphere... We paid around 50 euros for two... Excellent value for money, we will definitely be back.....

Suitable place to enjoy a quiet evening accompanied by a platter and a good wine. We tried the 'la botte' platter and a bun with raw ham, dried tomatoes and rocket. The excellent platter: cured meats, cheeses, focaccia with lard and seasonal vegetables. It must only be said that the price difference with the cold cuts, cheeses and focaccia platter is around €10 but the only seasonal vegetable we were served was a mini portion of broccoli. The quality was excellent, but it is better to get the other cutting board.

We had an aperitif last night at the headquarters in via Merliani. I don't think I've ever eaten a platter of such good, quality cheeses and cured meats. We opted for the classic one (we were also offered a special but we opted for the classic) with canestrato di Moliterno, buffalo bleu and tête de moine as cheeses accompanied by acacia honey and an amazing orange jam. All amazing. For cured meats, a very sweet 24-month Parma ham, spectacular finocchiona and sublime mortadella. All freshly made and you could see it from the color and scent they gave off. Then they brought some chips, olives and a bag with some excellent white focaccia made by them. All this accompanied by a spritz and a Negroni. To conclude, two bitters and mini Nutella buns. The total cost 55 euros. A very fair price for the quality offered. The service from the boy at the tables was impeccable: kind, friendly and helpful. Definitely a fixed stop for the next aperitifs also to try the other treats they offer. P.S. we also returned on December 1st. This time we opted for the Tagliere Botte which is richer than the Classic (it features a toss and a focaccia with colonnata lard). I confirm everything positive I said in the previous review, highlighting again the kindness and friendliness of the guy at the tables.

A truly pleasant experience! I tried the aperitif with cutting board and was impressed by the quality and attention to detail. The platter was rich and well assorted, perfect for accompanying a simply impeccable cocktail. An ideal place to relax and enjoy a special moment. Highly recommended!

02/02/2025: Posto della tradizione che merita la nomina Michelin gourmet, piatti rivisitati con estro e qualità, cucina veloce e ben presentata. L unica cosa che mi ha disturbato è stato il mio secondo con i funghi che sapevano di acidulo. Proverò con qualcos altro la prossima volta…… Parcheggio comodo e prezzi un pelino al rialzo per location e offerta.
20/12/2024: Ve la racconto cosi… È sempre piacevole tornare ad assoporare la cucina dello chef Giovanni Sorrentino, dove la stagionalità degli ingredienti è protagonista nelle pietanze proposte. Oggi oltre ad un piccolo tris di antipastini, gentilmente offerti, ci limitiamo ad assaggiare, splendidamente presentato oltre che decisamente gustoso, un croccantino di verdure stagionali su fonduta di parmigiano e salsa di pomodoro giallo ed un primo perfettamente in linea con la piovosa e fredda giornata odierna, ossia, pappardelle fatte in casa, funghi porcini, salsiccia rossa di Castelpoto, crema di provolone e zafferano, perfettamente equilibrato. + l’ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo, ne fa un ristorante assolutamente consigliato.

05/02/2025: You can order takeaway food and eat it on site. You can find everything and for everyone. I don't know if it's also for celiacs but I think so. Emilio, the owner and his collaborators are very good.
