After a nice quad ride, a stop at this little restaurant is a must. The place seems to have stood still in time, the food is truly old-fashioned, with truly exquisite home cooking.

After a lovely quad ride through the beautiful Sila woods, you can also enjoy a delicious lunch at this little restaurant where the dishes are exquisite, almost like grandma used to make them! Excellent service, a location that's a mix of charming and "old-fashioned." I highly recommend it.

A corner of paradise on Lake Ampollino. If you're looking for a place where food and nature meet, the Ampollino Island Restaurant is the answer. The cuisine is a tribute to Calabrian tradition, including tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms and wild boar pasta dishes. But what really sets this place apart is the hospitality: friendly, attentive, and authentic owners, ready to make you feel part of the family and serve you excellent food at reasonable prices, offering superb value. A true gem of the Sila. I'll be back soon, I'm sure.

13/10/2025: Delicious food but the service was excellent. Very nice and helpful owners, when we asked to order a taxi, they didn't even want to hear about it, they took us to Ciro Marina for the price of dinner and wine. Thank you again.

The cuisine is authentically homemade and exudes all the warmth and passion of the family that runs it. In the kitchen, mom Elisabetta and Giuseppe prepare wonderful dishes, bursting with flavor and tradition. In the dining room, dad Salvatore and Giovanni always welcome you with a smile and a rare warmth: the hospitality here is truly special. I recommend everyone try the tripe, one of the restaurant's most incredible specialties: flavorful, tender, and cooked to perfection. L'Aquila D'Oro isn't just for good food, but for an experience of family, hospitality, and authentic cuisine. A place I will always hold in my heart.
