23/02/2025: Really good food, great service!
20/01/2025: We had lunch on a Sunday at the Coccole di Cibo restaurant in Goito, in the province of Mantua. The parking is large, and although the outside may seem anonymous, similar to a normal home, once inside you find yourself in a welcoming environment. The place is divided into a main room and a smaller side one, and the internal atmosphere is warm and homely, even if a little dated, but comfortable and pleasant. The wooden tables, set with elegant placemats, have a tidy and essential appearance.
We started with the great seafood appetizer and a peppered mussels. The starter was plentiful, with a selection of smoked fish, seafood salad, mussels au gratin, prawns and bruschetta with cherry tomatoes, all very fresh and tasty. The mussels peppered was rich and fresh, seasoned with an excellent tomato sauce that would have benefited from a pinch of chilli pepper to achieve perfection.
As a first course, we chose spaghetti with clams: perfectly cooked, with meaty and generously sized clams, a truly tasty dish. For second courses, we opted for a mixed fry and skewers of prawns and cuttlefish. The frying was plentiful, with various types of fish fried in a light and tasty way, while the skewers were juicy and delicious, with a light breading that did not cover the excellent flavor of the fish. I highly recommend them.
To conclude, we invite you to let yourself be tempted by the desserts, including the tiramisu and the meringue semifreddo, all delicious. Although our experience focused on fish, the restaurant offers a wide selection of land dishes. The staff was extremely kind and professional. If you pass through Goito, I recommend you stop at the Coccole di Cibo restaurant for a combination of good food in a quiet and welcoming environment.
