We tried this little restaurant, which seemed typical of the area, and were generally satisfied. The menu wasn't as extensive as the one we found online. Unfortunately, the service was a bit slow, even though it was 7:30, with us and two other tables. The appetizer platter with fried gnocco was very salty, and the polenta was not very good (which we asked for). The cured meats deserve praise, very good and fresh, as were the cheeses with honey, which were also appreciated. Unfortunately, the giardiniera wasn't great, and finally, the grilled vegetables (our addition) were decent. For starters, the sottobosco (woodland pasta), spaghetti with chestnut flour (which you barely tasted), and mushrooms with melted Silter cheese were good, but unfortunately, I had to keep digesting them all evening because when people came in, a cold breeze blew in, which probably didn't help my digestion. My boyfriend had the same problem with his grandmother's casonsei (pasta with a lot of sauce).
Overall, a pleasant evening, generous dishes. We spent €62.

After visiting the beautiful historic center of Bienno, we had dinner at this pizzeria. The pizza was good and well-filled, and the tagliatelle with salmi were also delicious. The hamburger was large and very good.

A truly wonderful discovery. I came here with a friend for the first time. Congratulations.
The food is very good and prepared with love! The casonsei are delicious and plentiful, and afterwards, the mixed fried fish: delicious. The lunchtime prices are more than fair. Parking is free and easy to find. Reservations are available online.
Perfect service, and the staff are all very kind and helpful. I highly recommend trying Rugantino for a lunch break that feels like home.

Today, passing through Bienno on the way to Ponte di Legno, my family and I had lunch at Ristorante Rugantino, and it was a delightful discovery.
The menu features traditional local dishes, prepared with high-quality ingredients and meticulous attention to detail. Everything we tried was simply amazing (the photos speak for themselves!).
Special praise goes to the professional and extremely kind wait staff. One young woman in particular impressed us with her helpfulness: in addition to giving us valuable directions to visit the center of Bienno, she also gave us a map of the city and a card game for our son, a truly appreciated gesture.
A restaurant that combines excellent cuisine, hospitality, and warmth. Anyone passing through Bienno should definitely stop here: well done!

Aside from the two fried sage leaves that were so large and tasted so good, the first courses and the entrée were special for the harmony of flavors and the beauty with which they were presented, all topped off by the cheerfulness and hospitality of the staff.
