I'd like to start by complimenting the warm and welcoming atmosphere. I've already personally complimented the owner (Pietro) when I went for lunch today for my father-in-law's 70th birthday. But I'd like to leave a personal comment on social media. I'll start with the location, which is meticulously maintained and spacious, unlike many places that crowd you in just to get things done. Here, the space was just right, and you didn't have to play Tetris near the table to make room for the food. Moving on to the food, I can be sure of what I'm saying, given that there were three chefs at the table (who have been in the business since 1969), plus me. Like everyone else in the same profession, I'm critical and meticulous, as well as having a certain palate. I can attest that all the ingredients were high-quality, fresh, and flavorful. Starting with an appetizer where nothing was frozen, delicious croquettes and zeppole, and not to mention the flans. But I want to compliment the chef for the pasta and potatoes, which with its simplicity and its "pav chell e mamma" flavor, the right portions and seconds at the table of all the dishes, and they never made a fuss about any request made. Last but not least, because in my opinion the real added value of Rifugio del Nonno is the staff, courteous, polite, attentive to detail, always polite and kind, and above all the extras, they also gave all the support possible and this only means that the owners treat those who work for and with them well. A true team must be united and they are. These compliments are not made out of niceness, friendship or anything else but simply because THEY ARE ALL DESERVED and we must give credit to those who sacrifice themselves every day to achieve certain goals and do the best for the diners. As I told the owner today I wasn't able to eat much because I had the flu, but I will come to visit you often and I will send people because I am sure I will only make a good impression. Thank you for the magnificent day you gave us.

We went for the first time for New Year's Eve and January 1st dinner. The place exceeded our expectations. We started with the parking lot, which was manned by an exceptional valet (no maze to get in and out). We entered and found tables well spaced, unlike other restaurants that crowd people on top of each other like animals just to make money. The dining room was clean, the waiters (always smiling) were like elves, appearing impeccably to meet every customer need. The food was excellent, with no waste (unlike others that throw everything away to fill your belly without considering the quality) and well-cooked.
The owners of the establishment are clearly skilled. Always smiling, and the staff was equally happy to work (in other restaurants, the waiters just worked). The price paid was excellent. Many say the location is on top of a mountain, which is true, but you also have a view of the entire quarter and don't feel oppressed. This is guaranteed. Don't be fooled by those who say it's expensive; you're paying for expertise, organization, service, and flavor at the right price. I recommend this place to everyone because it will truly amaze you.

In my opinion: they're still a refuge, the cuisine needs updating and is still based on trattoria-style dishes, the service is excellent, the location is well-maintained and enjoys an excellent view, they should update the plating and the raw materials, for me the cuisine is not good! There's a lot of potential, and if they did this reimagining, it would be an excellent restaurant. Thank you.

The location is beautiful, ideal for a Christmas dinner or an event. The staff is young and friendly, and the atmosphere is quiet and relaxed.
We tried the tasting menu, and honestly, I can say the quality was poor. It's a shame, because with a land-based menu, you don't need much.

We chose this restaurant to celebrate our daughter's baptism, and we couldn't have made a better choice.
From our first meeting, the owners were extremely kind, helpful, and friendly, ready to listen to our every request and offer advice to help us organize a perfect event.
The dining room was elegant and meticulously prepared, with attention to detail. Not to mention, the food was delicious, from appetizers to desserts, with generous, high-quality portions.
Maggie was fantastic; she created the decorations impeccably!
A special thanks goes to the waiters, Salvatore, Giovanni, and Stefano, who were always smiling, professional, and quick with their service.
