Sunday 6 July 2025 there were 7 of us and we had a divine time, a welcoming and well-kept place, it also has a terrace overlooking the Gran Sasso! We tried all the hot appetizers, all excellent. We avoided the cold ones to be able to enjoy the subsequent dishes as well. Afterwards we ate tagliatelle, handmade, with porcini mushrooms and gnocchi with mutton sauce, both superb! We continued with a veal roll, very soft, with porcini mushrooms and peas accompanied with baked potatoes and chicory. House rosé wine, water, coffee and bitter! 5 star quality/price ratio! Everything excellent

A nice discovery, after an excursion to the Casanova waterfall it was a perfect place to refresh ourselves. The room was full for a birthday but the staff found us a place to sit anyway. The outdoor tables are very pleasant with a spectacular view of the Tivo meadows and the small horn of the Gran Sasso

The only restaurant in Pagliaroli di Cortino. Very kind owner, menu with a very rich starter and not the usual platter of cured meats and cheeses. I didn't take the first one because the starter served as a first course. For the second course, a lamb cooked on the grill in a divine way, with a very generous side dish of baked potatoes. House wine, water and coffee (offered). Average price given the quality. I highly recommend it. Well done to all the staff at: il Pagliaio. I will definitely go back.
