A magical place at the foot of Mount Gennaro: spend a relaxing evening enjoying delicious dishes in a friendly and informal atmosphere. Michela's kindness and attentiveness are appreciated, never intrusive but always attentive, as is chef Gianluca's expertise in selecting ingredients and cooking meats over the fireplace. The views of the Tiber Valley and the capital in the distance frame the tables. A highly recommended destination both for a day trip and for grabbing a fabulous gourmet sandwich on the go.

A very family-friendly atmosphere. We dined as a couple and had a great time: the cacio e pepe was fabulous, the tagliata was equally good. Very generous portions. You immediately feel at ease.

A lovely evening at this authentic Roman restaurant. Delicious and flavorful appetizers, a truly perfect start. The carbonara was exceptional: creamy, authentic, and perfectly prepared. An experience I highly recommend.

My partner and I were passing through nearby and decided to dine at this restaurant for traditional dishes... what a choice!! I called to make a reservation and told them I had two Pitbulls, and they said it was no problem, they have one too. It was a wonderful evening; the owners, two very kind and friendly people, pampered us and our dogs. We had carbonara, gricia, arrosticini, and tiramisu. Everything was excellent and the prices were really fair!! It's a shame we live in Bergamo, but when we're passing through, we'll definitely stop here again!

I went to Funghetto Matto on the recommendation of a friend, and I have to say it was a great choice! The place is small but cozy, with a family atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. The service is excellent: Gianluca and Michela are very kind and make you feel right at home. I tried the gricia with truffle and a spectacular carbonara: generous portions and authentic flavors, just what you'd expect from a Roman trattoria. The tagliata was also excellent, perfectly cooked and very tender. The quality-price ratio is truly excellent. A simple but well-kept place, where you eat well and are welcomed with a smile. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tasty, no-frills dinner. My only advice: make a reservation.
