Il Frassinello In Civitavecchia

We went to this restaurant with friends from a social group for an evening meal, after agreeing to an aperitif. What can I say? All the dishes they served, both hot (excellent mixed fried dishes with battered vegetables, supplì, etc.) and cold dishes, and finally an excellent amatriciana, all washed down with excellent wine and liqueurs. The price was fair, and the hospitality was very welcoming.

The atmosphere isn't the owners' main focus—let's say it's "rustic"—but the food is good and the staff is super helpful, almost like being at home! The fish, and only the fish, is truly excellent. The dishes? Excellent appetizer, more than acceptable first course. Would I return? Yes, to try the second course!

An evening with friends made even more special by the food and the owners of this little restaurant in the hills just above Civitavecchia. Excellent tart and delicious fried fish!!!
