We stayed here for three nights and four days while trekking in the Dolomites. It takes about 40 minutes by car to get to Ortisei, making it inconvenient for Dolomite trekking without a rental car. While the winding roads to and from Ortisei can be a bit daunting, if you're looking for the comfort of a mountain village, this is highly recommended. The accommodations are impeccable. They're operated as a campsite, so you can enjoy a variety of facilities, including a sauna and outdoor pool. The bar and restaurant on the first floor are also excellent. With the "South Tyrol Card" you receive upon check-in, you can take the historic two-car train and cable car to and from Bolzano. You can also enjoy the mountains above the accommodation without having to venture far into the Dolomites. Many people visit this village from Bolzano to explore the town. Enjoy the town's attractions, including the Earth Pyramids and the indoor ice rink.

Schartner Alm is a wonderful camping. The facilities are tiptop and everything is superclean. The team is really friendly and helpful. We have used our tent, therefore the evaluation for "rooms" isn't fully applicable. However, I would have given 5 stars if the Zeltwiese would have been a bit more spaceous. Nevertheless I can recommend this place.

A very nice campsite with a great range of activities for children. The staff is very friendly, we felt very comfortable and would love to come back.

Great campsite in a fantastic location – spontaneous and warm welcome We arrived spontaneously and had to make our way up, sometimes through narrow mountain roads. Fortunately, another guest canceled at short notice – so, thanks to Fabian's friendly help, we were still able to snag a pitch. The facility is modern, very well-maintained, and thoughtfully furnished. Particularly noteworthy are the clean restrooms with showers, toilets, a laundry tower, and a separate dishwashing area. There's also a great range of culinary options: The restaurant offers a varied menu and a spacious playground right next door, ideal for families with children. Due to the weather, we weren't able to fully enjoy the outdoor area with its pool, but the surroundings and the location on the Ritten plateau are truly beautiful – definitely a highlight in the sun! The price-performance ratio is rather high: For two people with a VW bus and the largest pitch, we paid €86 including taxes. But for that, you get a lot of quality, cleanliness, and peace and quiet.

Highly recommended campsite. Modern, clean, with very nice laundry and restroom facilities. A pizzeria, breakfast options, and bread delivery are available. Friendly staff and a great, large pool area. The only thing that was a bit nerve-wracking was the winding road up to the alpine pasture in the RV, but we were compensated for that by the fantastic view of the Dolomites.

Undoubtedly the most beautiful campsite I've ever visited. Luxurious sanitary facilities, dog park, swimming pool... Top campsite!

Wonderful campsite with a great view, a very well-maintained and beautiful car wash, good service (breakfast pastries), and a lovely restaurant. With the Ritten Card, you get a free bus transfer directly from the campsite, and the cable car and train are also included.
