Hotel Latemar In Renon

05/08/2025: We were only there for dinner. The children's portions are ridiculously small! It felt like 10 fries and a rather small schnitzel. Tasted good, but definitely too small.

30/07/2025: Restaurant review. I went with my family for lunch at 1:00 PM. 5/5 Impeccable and friendly service, the dishes arrived very quickly and were beautifully presented. We ordered the carpaccio, a Tyrolean platter, and the gnocchi with nettles and cheese fondue. All three were spectacular and truly delicious. The bathrooms were clean, and the dessert was also very good. We ordered the Black Forest cake and apple strudel. The portions were large (including the platter and carpaccio, and regular gnocchi) and the prices were fair. The cream on the cake was delicious, and the strudel was soft and topped with warm vanilla. The view from the restaurant on the first floor is beautiful. The service was again very helpful and friendly. They informed us about the lake at the reception and the fishing permits even after we'd paid. Plus, they gave us back the jacket my mom had forgotten. Hahahaha. They served regular beers, but they also had a great selection of wines, brandies, gins, etc. Beautiful place! If we find ourselves in Merano again in the future, we'll definitely return.
