Hotel Grotte del Paradiso In Portoferraio

The hotel in Portoferraio is a bit difficult to reach because the dirt road leading to the beach is terrible, but you're rewarded by the breathtaking view you find upon arrival: a hotel overlooking the sea. I didn't stay overnight, but I accompanied a friend. The very kind lady, however, allowed us to take a walk around the area to enjoy the view the hotel offers. It's amazing. Breakfast is served right in front of this natural spectacle. I had the opportunity to take a peek at the rooms, which lack nothing and offer a wonderful sunset.

Unfortunately, it's no longer as it was in the photos shown on the portal or booking sites. The place would be beautiful, but a bit shabby. Poor maintenance of the grounds And the rooms. The breakfast, however, is phenomenal. Abundant and delicious. For a similar vacation, camping.

Nice place, friendly and helpful staff… the “beach,” if we want to call it that, doesn’t match the photos on the website… quite disappointing…

Spectacular place with access to private beach, very friendly staff, great location. The only flaw is the very small accommodation.

I stayed 4 nights, magical place, exceptional view, peace and quiet. Laura Filomena and Giovanni made me feel at home. Very pleasant stay that I hope to repeat in spring.
