Hosteria La Fraschetta di Padre in Figlio in Castel Gandolfo...I have to say it was a real pleasure! The service was impeccable and the food was simply divine!
The tonnarelli cacio e pepe were the best! The pasta was fresh and the pecorino cream was perfect, a real treat for the palate!
The tonnarelli alla carbonara and the tagliatelle alla matriciana were equally delicious.
But not only that, the maritozzo alla picchiapo and the ciriola with artichokes alla cafona, guanciale, and pecorino...wow...they were an incredible surprise!
The porchetta...a real treat.
In short, if you're in the area, don't miss the opportunity to try this place! The quality/price ratio is incredible and the service is friendly and professional.
This place is a true gem of Roman cuisine!

There aren't any major differences in getting to this restaurant; being in a pedestrian area, it's only accessible on foot. The place is beautiful and clean, the staff is very kind and professional, and the dishes we ordered were very good and plentiful. The quality is immediately apparent, and you can't win four restaurants on the TV show.
We'll definitely be back.

Truly the best!!!! We tried the porchetta and it was delicious. We then had a plate of fettuccine all'amatriciana and tonnarelli alla carbonara! I swear, they're amazing!!!!!
Our only mistake was ordering the porchetta and starting with that delicious, crunchy bread. So, we still ate the pasta, actually, we finished it all! But next time we come, we'll just order the first course so we can enjoy the whole thing because we couldn't mop it up with bread! 😂😂😂 So, yes, we'll definitely be back!!!! Thank you!

We went there for lunch yesterday, an excellent experience, with truly delicious, high-quality food and attentive, yet never intrusive, service. It was a plus that they offered us a digestif after lunch to apologize for the lack of water, which wasn't their fault, but rather the fault of the entire area. Highly recommended.

I went with friends yesterday. It's a small restaurant, so who's complaining about the location or anything else? Just one question: why? I had the porchetta. Good, lightly seasoned and lightly salted, a sign that the quality meat shouldn't have been masked by spices and saltiness. The porchetta-filled ravioli, thick pasta just the way I like it and as befits a truly respectable filling, topped with plenty of porcini mushrooms, and the grilled lamb, with spectacular meat (I'm from Abruzzo and the grandson of Pecoraro), I grew up with mutton. The dishes that passed before me and the aromas in the restaurant were all inviting and the dishes well-structured, despite it being an osteria. The staff were informal, welcoming, and always attentive, especially the attentive and capable kitchen staff. The ricotta and sour cherry tart deserves applause and a wave! Always remember that you are in Rome, or rather, in Albano. Not in the Navigli area. Thanks for the evening.

Everything was good, but the prices were higher than the usual fraschette, because the place is very touristy. The only thing I was disappointed about, and perhaps I should have mentioned it, was the grilled porcini mushrooms. I asked the waiter what the dish was like, considering it cost 20 euros, and he signaled that it was a substantial dish, but instead they only served me one mushroom. I understand the touristy area, but you're still a fraschette, and above all, you could use a little more consideration for us Italians. The dish was also recommended by the waiter, so you expect a little more... thanks.
