A charming inn on the main street, with a lovely open-air counter selling cured meats and cheeses. We had an excellent cacio e pepe, a carbonara, and a cheese and cured meat platter. Everything was truly excellent.

Trattoria dei Castelli, neither good nor bad: a very simple restaurant with outdoor seating on Castel Gandolfo's main street. Service is fairly quick, and the dishes are traditional; they could do better.

Average restaurant, lacking transparency: they offered a porcini mushroom appetizer, which wasn't on the menu. Five or six small pieces, equivalent to two small-medium porcini mushrooms, cost €20! Too much in my opinion, and the service was less than professional.

I don't usually write reviews. But now I absolutely have to. Compliments to the chef. We ate wonderfully. My daughter had chicken cacciatore. Very tender and delicious. I had tonnarelli alla gricia, which I couldn't fault except that it was incredibly good. All accompanied by a local wine. I highly recommend it.

14/08/2026: We had a wonderful time last night. From the moment we arrived, the welcome was incredibly warm and attentive; a special thank you for the kindness shown to our dog. The food was flawless: simple, home-style dishes, remarkably well-prepared. The portions were more than generous, and the value for money was simply unbeatable. A friendly and authentic experience. It's undoubtedly one of our best discoveries. We will definitely be back!
03/08/2026: We dined at this nice restaurant a couple of times in july. They served excellent food and was very serviceminded. I will recomend this restaurant higly.
