Everything was good, but the prices were higher than the usual fraschette, because the place is very touristy. The only thing I was disappointed about, and perhaps I should have mentioned it, was the grilled porcini mushrooms. I asked the waiter what the dish was like, considering it cost 20 euros, and he signaled that it was a substantial dish, but instead they only served me one mushroom. I understand the touristy area, but you're still a fraschette, and above all, you could use a little more consideration for us Italians. The dish was also recommended by the waiter, so you expect a little more... thanks.

We visited Hostaria La Fraschetta di Padre in Figlio in Castel Gandolfo, intrigued by its win at "4 Ristoranti."
We had an appetizer for two with good-quality cured meats (the porchetta from Ariccia was excellent) and two first courses: a gricia and a matriciana. Unfortunately, the gricia seemed a bit dry and not very hot, while the matriciana was good but lacked the pizzazz we were expecting.
The place certainly has potential and a great name behind it, but perhaps expectations were high and not everything lived up to expectations. The price is slightly above average for a wine bar, but overall it was a pleasant experience.

We stopped out of curiosity to try the dishes from the fraschetteria that won an episode of Alessandro Borghese's "Four Restaurants." Overall, we ate well; the dishes were tasty and well-served. One flaw was that the side vegetables were brought 10 minutes before the accompanying "abbracciato" (a kind of grilled pork shoulder) was served. It was decidedly unpleasant to receive the bill on a non-fiscal receipt, which, given that I paid in cash, makes one think otherwise (I only realized this at home when I picked up the receipt again).

"If you eat well," more substance and less show.
Recommended by Google, we went to try this Hosteria with the best intentions, considering it won the title of best trattoria in the Roman hills in Andrea Borghese's "4 Restaurants."
At first, especially when we were outside, we were a bit perplexed, as it looked like a classic "tourist trap."
As non-meat eaters, we decided to order:
1 Chicory sautéed in garlic, oil, and chili pepper,
1 Tonnarelli cacio e pepe,
1 Eggplant Parmigiana, with half a liter of white wine and a bottle of water.
We sat outside and waited for service, which was prompt, both for the order and the table service.
While waiting for our appetizer, we "suffered" the proximity of the tables, as the lady at the next table started smoking, causing us (even though we were outside) quite a bit of annoyance.
As soon as the dishes arrived, we had to reconsider any initial skepticism: the food here is undeniably good. The portions are generous and the quality superb.
The chicory sauté was excellent in its simplicity, albeit with a lot of oil. The eggplant parmigiana, despite its unappealing appearance, was incredibly tender and flavorful. Excellent in every way.
The Tonnarelli Cacio e Pepe was excellent.
The house wine was average, nothing exceptional, but okay.
The bathrooms were clean and equipped with a changing table (not a given given the limited space).
Disabled access was excellent, given the almost total absence of obstacles, although the bathroom was a bit narrow.
Price for two people was €46, including a €1.50 cover charge per person.
Highly recommended.

Abbiamo cenato in questo locale in coppia attratti dal fatto che avevano vinto 4 ristoranti come miglior fraschetta. In realtà siamo rimasti un po’ delusi perché il personale era abbastanza pressante e non appena ci siamo seduti venivano di continuo per ordinare. L’antipasto di verdure era molto buono e sfizioso, un po’ meno la carbonara perché la pasta era poco cotta. Abbiamo comunque apprezzato il vino della casa. Un po’ caro rispetto alla media.
