If I could give a few more stars I would add it without thinking twice. Recommended restaurant while we were taking the boat tour, they told us: the food is very good, the only thing... is that maybe they make you wait a bit! A friend of mine and I sat down at 8.30pm and ordered at 9pm, with 2 other tables in front of us. Finally here comes Mrs. Maria... with a calm tone and a thin voice she explains to us all the dishes, the preparation and the ingredients (all prepared and selected by her in the afternoon). We took two peppered mussels, fish kebabs, two first courses. What can I say... every bite was an emotion of flavours, fresh, unique and tasty, deserving the classic closure with the slipper! Today, that "waiting a bit" is that extra thing that has unfortunately been lost. Today, you scan the QR code, select the dishes and wait to be served. Mrs. Maria, on the other hand, takes the order with pen and paper, explains everything to you and lets you know how much love and dedication she puts into her work. Controlling and managing his entire place with the synergistic work of his room, young guys who are already professional and educated at work. We will be back!! Clearly.. Highly recommended!!

Signora Maria's restaurant is worthy of 5 stars. Welcoming hostess who graciously and kindly hosted us in her delightful restaurant. Family atmosphere, free from the crowded chaos of the clubs on the rest of the island. Few tables and well arranged. The staff is attentive and present. We ate some excellent appetizers and unusual first courses, truly delicious! The only advice I would like to give is to update the price list of the paper menu, it does not affect the quality/price ratio, but it risks leaving a bitter aftertaste at the end of the evening when you discover you have spent more than you imagined. Nonetheless, it is an extremely positive experience that I would recommend.

Really nice restaurant! Exquisite food and good service. Dishes with attention to detail. Mrs. Maria proved to be a truly professional and nice person. One flaw is the prices... unfortunately the menu given to us did not have updated prices and the bill came out quite a bit more expensive than expected.

Mrs. Maria is a legend! A creative and excellent cook, an amiable conversationalist, she entertains you with her stories, then conquers you with her cuisine. Everything you look for in a restaurant and much, much more! P.S. squid kebabs, swordfish meatballs, cala bianca spaghetti (blue spaghetti), pasta medallions filled with assorted shellfish, seasoned with rocket pesto, ginger and almonds. Almond dessert and wine!

Our first dinner in Marettimo, we get off to a great start in the oldest restaurant on the island. Dishes cooked with care by Mrs. Maria who from her notebook lists the dishes available with the great care of those who prepare them with care and love. Those who are in a hurry should avoid this restaurant because understanding and choosing between the dishes prepared with love by Mrs. Maria takes time and patience which will be amply rewarded at the first taste. Correct price for the quality of what is offered. Attentive and attentive service, it really feels like being at home.

We had dinner at the Hiera restaurant. Despite not having a sea view, it turned out to be the best restaurant where we ate. Mrs. Maria presents the dishes with great passion and meticulous description. Good starters, amazing first courses. We tried 4 different first courses, one better than the other. Everything that Maria had described resonated with our palate. All the freshest raw materials, expertly cooked and presented in an artistic way. Fair price for what we ate.
