Excellent food, atmosphere, and a great beer selection. I definitely recommend it.

The craft beers are top-quality, with a good variety of flavors to please everyone. The burgers are tasty, made with fresh ingredients and beautifully presented. The place is clean, tidy, and welcoming. During the summer, there's a large outdoor space, larger than the inside, perfect for spending pleasant evenings. Excellent value for money, and the staff is always friendly. Highly recommended!

Finally some good crafy beers since a couple of days in Italy. Birrificio Herba Monstrum is a good spot to visit when you are in or near Lecco. Great place to enjoy some really great beers. Matteo is a fine host.

Good brewery located just outside Lecco where you can stop to eat hamburgers and chips but above all drink excellent beers produced with passion and also using zero kilometer hops. There is something for all tastes, the classic lagers, ales and strong ales, ipas, apas, stout and bitters of English style, in short, to go crazy! Quite small place with few tables (but with the good weather the matter changes), and kind and helpful staff. We go there every time we pass by Lecco and we never fail to try the seasonal hamburger which is always different and always a real treat! Good cheesecakes, worth a try. Reasonable prices.

I started frequenting this brewery in 2018, when I moved from the Marche region to Lombardy. My husband introduced me to Herba Monstrum, and I have to say it's become my/our favorite place ever since. They have a wide, varied craft beer list, which is always a great discovery. For example, this summer I tried the Berries, and it's become one of my favorite light beers, along with Meile' (their famous honey beer) and Frika (hemp beer). Overall, they're delicious, and the medium beers are 0.5L and very reasonably priced. The place is very nice inside, but also in the Garden, which is ample outdoor space and is perfect in the summer. The aperitif is brought to you at no extra charge and consists of a platter with chips, olives or gherkins, spicy salami or other cured meats, and toasted bread to accompany it. The aperitif can change depending on the venue/cuisine, or the season: the last few times, they've had delicious stuffed crostini with fries on the side. In short: the aperitifs are always excellent! There are obviously many options on the menu, including homemade burgers, various fried foods, and homemade desserts. I've been addicted to the spicy fried food for years; I've never tasted that kind of fried food in another restaurant; it's so good! My favorite dessert: cheesecake with fiki or strawberries, or "stuffing," depending on the season. The menu also offers vegan and vegetarian options, including burgers. The atmosphere is familiar and relaxing, I feel at ease here, and the staff is friendly and helpful. My last favorite beer: Pedalo. Absolutely at the top of my list!
