If you're serious about trying quality meat and top-notch sandwiches, this is the place to go. The double burger version is truly filling, and the toppings are varied and top-quality. I highly recommend booking early or late to avoid long waits.

The place is always busy, the food is good, but not cheap. The food arrived first, then the drinks. Recommended even if you're not dying to return. Book a table or waste your time.

It's hard to describe in words, I mean it.
Gigione's sandwich is a very specific brand, leaving no doubt about its recognizability. It's been almost ten years since my first visit, and despite having traveled far and wide throughout Italy, aside from calling the ingredients and flavors of this sandwich shop excellent, I can only confirm that I don't believe there's anything comparable or similar. Blindfold me, put me alongside the Chianino Deluxe with 10 other of Italy's best sandwiches, and I'll immediately identify Gigione's.
I believe their strength lies in the identity of what they offer, an experience worth repeating periodically for the pleasure of living.

I was here on a Friday evening, as it's almost impossible to get in on the weekend, unless you wait for a 2-3 hour wait.
We booked a table for 10, and yet we were seated after about an hour. I'm not saying the wait isn't worth it, as it's become a pub institution in Campania. As soon as we were seated, we ordered various appetizers, including the truly delicious baked potato, an average traditional frittatina, a truly delicious crusted chicken, some potato sticks, and bruschetta with Genovese, which, even though I would have preferred the bread to be crispier, was a feast for the taste buds.
Afterwards, we each ordered our sandwiches, and I chose the following: Chianino deluxe with buttered mushrooms (+€2), truffle béarnaise, lard, and provola.
The menu offers both pre-made sandwiches and the option to customize your own, all with top-quality ingredients.
To conclude, we ordered eight slices of panettone in various flavors (each one their own), and it was all served on the same plate, which made it difficult for us to recognize which flavor we'd chosen since they all looked similar.
Another thing I didn't like was that the slices weren't whole but rather halved, not really looking like eight.
On the waiters' advice, we tasted what we should have chosen, but unfortunately, they also couldn't recognize it, making us try flavors we hadn't ordered.
As for the restaurant, it's very well-kept, and the bathrooms are very clean.
The bill, around €42 per person, was a bit high, considering we each ordered one appetizer, one sandwich, one or two drinks, and one dessert (two people didn't order one).
Despite being an institution and offering extremely high-quality products, I expected much more.
