Gelateria A Cuvea In Alassio

A historic Ligurian gelateria in Alassio, the gelato is quite good. The cup served at the table is fine, but the small, two-flavor cone for €3.50 is decidedly expensive! The place is clean and welcoming. The girl at the cash register is polite. What I don't like is the rude and unfriendly man at the counter with his Sicilian accent. It really clashes with "A Cuvea"! We're in Liguria, so local management is better!

Historic ice cream shop in Alassio. An experience worth repeating. A friend and I walked in, and the lady at the cash register (I assume the owner) invited us to sit outside. We accepted, ordered, and yes, we looked at the price list (I imagined they were higher). What can I say other than crazy prices? It's true that they served two flavors in a glass cup for €6.50, and a cup with gelato and strawberries for €11. It's absurd. When it comes time to pay, this lady at the cash register is always very rude and impolite. I wouldn't recommend it, especially for families with children, because you can't get a mortgage to get gelato. There are better and cheaper places.

The best ice-creams and "cassate" in Alassio. All the waiters are nice and fast! I strongly recommend the place!

Special menu with innovative products, unfortunately one of the orders we made wasn't the best because it tasted like an antibiotic, but they offered to change it anyway.

I have tried several very good flavours but I only have one thing to tell you about liquorice: "If you don't know how to make it, DON'T MAKE IT." As a Calabrian, I gave it a lick and immediately threw it in the bin!

Everything is delicious, it's a shame that they increased the price of the cone and also decreased the quantity... Terrible value for money, it's a shame, I hope they change their minds, otherwise there are other good options nearby.

An excellent address in Alassio! We stopped at "A Cuvea" almost every evening during our stay, and each time, it was a real treat. The artisanal gelato is simply delicious, with authentic flavors and a perfect texture. The lovely outdoor space is a real plus. Be careful, though: to be seated at a table, you have to order gelato "à la carte" and not to go—good to know. I didn't try the Sicilian granita, partly out of fear of being disappointed. For a real granita, I'd fly to Catania and head to Bam Bar or Don Diego in Taormina! But for excellent artisanal gelato in Alassio, "A Cuvea" is without a doubt the place to go.

We stopped at this ice cream shop for a cup of ice cream. We tried both the single flavor ice cream and more elaborate cups. Everything was very good, even the authentic Sicilian brioche.
