We were only there for a short break. The host is super friendly and open to motorcyclists. I highly recommend this inn.

We felt very comfortable at the Gasthof Wastl. We booked on the way and were able to check into the room early. The grounds were beautiful and well-maintained. The breakfast was excellent! The owner was very hospitable. We were there on our Vespas, and he recommended a wonderful route. Thank you for that.

I really like the atmosphere here and the help is very good. The room is beautiful, spacious, there is a swimming pool and a garden inside the hotel.

The accommodation may be a bit older, but that doesn't detract from its quality, as everything is spotlessly clean. The hosts are exceptionally friendly and always available. The hotel is highly recommended.

We were only here for dinner, so I'm only reviewing the restaurant, not the hotel. We spent a week in Girlan and tried out all the restaurants one by one. So, on Wednesday, it was Wastl's turn. After a day full of activities, we were hungry, so we went to the "Wastl" for dinner on a Wednesday evening (Monday and Thursday are closed). The restaurant is clean and has a quaint feel. Some of the furnishings reminded me of the good old days. A time when I was a bit younger myself. The dining room is large, with plenty of space. The first thing I noticed was the many local guests. The host was a bit reserved at first, but he warmed up over the course of our stay. We looked through the menu from front to back several times, but there weren't any more. It's relatively small, but that doesn't have to be a disadvantage. Since watching various restaurant shows, we know that the smaller the menu, the fresher it is. What we were missing was something for those big evening cravings. There were NO bacon or cheese dumplings, NO Kaiserschmarrn, NO schnitzel, etc. We opted for the goulash soup and the house toast. I also ordered the sausages with horseradish and mustard. The goulash soup was delicious, and the house toast was good too. The sausage platter with just one wiener was a bit small. There's a picture here in the reviews with two of them. But we still left the restaurant feeling a little hungry. I don't know the weekend menu. If you go here during the week, you should do so with the intention of not eating anything big. They serve good, hearty snacks rather than a lavish dinner. I would also recommend this place if you just want to sit together in the evening.
